What to do when you begin to care for your parents.
HippieChick58 replies on May 24, 2018:
I really don't think college is the time for that, definitely not HS. Things change all the time in the government. My oldest is 33, I am now 60. What she would have learned then is already outdated. Beside not every HS/College student is going to have to take care of an aging parent or other relative. My siblings and I didn't have to. My sister and I dealt with planning a funeral for a relative, we knew she wanted cheap. It was so hard to persuade the funeral home to stop showing us the Cadillacs and drop down to the Ford line.
Interesting.

HippieChick58 replies on May 24, 2018:
@FrayedBear Considering the liability of the restaurant and our litigious happy society, I can't see restaurants wanting to take that chance. When I'm out to dinner with my adult kids the phones are put away and we are engaged with each other. When I'm the baby sitter I know my kids have their phones on. I don't need an app or a business to tell me how to behave as a responsible adult. What if the moon IS made of green cheese, I think we settled that when we brought moon rocks back to earth. Your angst/passion seems a bit over the top for the conversation, did I trigger something?
Do Men actually ask women on dates anymore?
HippieChick58 comments on May 24, 2018:
I think in this era it is great when a woman asks a man out on a date. Why should the impetus be on the man? You can discuss who pays when you fix the details.
HippieChick58 replies on May 24, 2018:
@KenG Seriously I prefer a man ask me out, but I understand the dynamic. If I think there is a chance of any interest I might ask. And if I am asked out I'd likely say yes.

How about a never eat alone app. once you've ordered you start it up and it randomly selects or you can choose from other users, someone who is also eating alone. prop the phone up across the table and video chat during your meals.
