@jacpod I work in short term disability claims, and have frequent anxiety. Lots of room for errors to be made. We deal with people who have had close encounters with the medical system/can't work and we control their replacement income. No stress there. 78% of American live paycheck to paycheck, anything that delays a paycheck can be a crisis.

We had had some real conversations so I'm pretty sure it is a real person, I had recommended a book I finished. In his previous email he had mentioned it had been a while since I had written and I told him I was a poor pen pal and when he got back to Omaha he should let me know. Then I got the Dear (name) email. The minute I get an "I love you" in an email from a person I haven't met in person they're blocked.
Does having an avatar make people more civil on line?

Thanks to Trader Joe's and their awesome prices, I now make it a habit to buy potted flowering plants during the winter. I especially love hyacinths and their scent. I think it dramatically makes me feel less grey no matter what's going on outside.

@silvereyes Allll the time! They love to eat the Spider Plants which is not good for their tummies. They will dig dirt out of the pots as their tiny little brains tell them too. They will knock plants and everything else off shelves or table tops chasing each other. Hanging plants are tempting to see if they can reach them. It there is a breeze and makes the leaves sway they will be right there to attack. Cats have amazing fantasy lives. I keep the doors to the bedrooms shut to keep the kitties away from the few plants I have left.

@shockwaverider We moved to Tacoma in 1993, then Bothell, then Snohomish/Everett area in 1995. We moved to Kansas :( in 1999. I want go go back for a visit one day. I want to visit the ice caves, and Pike Market. Christmas Eve of 1993 we were at the Children's Museum in Seattle and then ate at Ivars, the next day two of my kids broke out in chicken pox. I've always wondered how many kids we exposed that day.

It's stupid for anyone to smoke in a car. My troublesome child used to hot box with friends. She got in trouble for some other stuff and in the fallout of that was out of school for a semester, and grounded until she was able to go back to school. I made her stop smoking cold turkey. She hated me then, but she has never smoked again.
