Cloth. I have 6 inch squares of diaper cloth and flannel. Use once, toss in a basket and launder when the basket gets full or I'm almost out of cloths. I no longer remember how many I have, I have enough for two to three weeks, and they get washed with the towels.

My stepdads' sect of Christianity doesn't believe that Christmas is the actual birthday of Christ so I call every Christmas just to wish him a special Merry Christmas.
HippieChick58 replies on Jan 1, 2018:
Christmas wouldn't really be the birthday of Christ. The scriptures say that the shepherds were in the field with their flocks. In the winter the flocks aren't out in the fields. Mostly likely it would have been April. The early roman church co-opted Winter Solstice festivities to suck the locals into the delusion.

OMG @IndySent, (and I just got your user name when I typed it, LOVE IT) Thank you! It took me long enough to figure out life and my place in it, I will not be told I am inferior in anyway to anyone. I grew up in the 60's when women were burning their bras and fighting for equality. I had to have my dad sign my enlistment papers in 1976 when I wanted to join the Army to get the hell out of his house. We earn our right to the air we breathe just by being here, allllll people do. I have a heart for the underdog, no matter their gender or skin color or place of birth. We grow stronger faster by building each other up.

And I have depression and anxiety. I am terrified I am going to lose my job. However, no one knows because I always choose to present myself as happy. Or happy-ish. So I battle the depression and anxiety unmedicated, and as much as I can I make a choice every minute that I could be worse off so I'm going to be happy. Some days it is harder than others, and I just hope I can hold on. But my kids are great, my bills are pretty much paid, and I have what I need. I will say YMMV, but this is me.

As an Atheist or Agnostic, are you less depressed or anxious?
HippieChick58 comments on Dec 17, 2017:
I think my depression/anxiety will always be there.
HippieChick58 replies on Dec 17, 2017:
I am just thankful when it is ebb tide rather than storm tides rolling in.
What do you do to help the Environment?
HippieChick58 comments on Dec 14, 2017:
I also stopped buying books. I now use my library extensively. I also shop estate sales and repurpose things. I make lotions, potions, and lip balms, all organic.
HippieChick58 replies on Dec 14, 2017:
I make lotions with a variety of oils, and many of them are infused with herbs. Depending on how thick I want the lotion they may have beeswax in them. I've made beard balms for my sons in law who are all bearded. DIY Natural is the website that got me started making my own stuff and going more natural. I just ignore the religious thrust of the site.
Just finished 5 hours of baking 6 kinds of christmas cookies.
Noobody comments on Dec 13, 2017:

HippieChick58 replies on Dec 13, 2017:

January 13, 2021 My newest and smallest grandchild. She arrived 5 weeks early and is now 2.5 weeks old and is less than 7 pounds. I've never held such a small baby before. She is quite perfect and very amazing. I love being a Grammy.
