Hello there. Yes I do live in Australia, in Canberra the Capital. The fires are just about all over the continent. They are a couple of kilometres from us, that is why the sky is the way it is. It is at sunset. Days are hazy and filled with smoke. By 21 December 2019, the fires had burnt over 3,000,000 hectares, destroyed over 700 houses and killed at least 9 people with at least one unaccounted for. So here we are hoping for rain.

When it happened I was very upset but over time got over it and I can understand that he has that need, however he could have it all but he did not understand that it involved a balance and compromise. So I refuse to be part of his life anymore, but you know I am now very happy. Don’t know what the recommended sentencing category for arson is, but I hope it’s not misdemeanour. Keep safe and keep watching because as we know things can change anytime with a lightning strike and a gust of wind.

Yes, what does one do with 14 year olds who start fires. I have no idea.

Luck is when the law of entropy is in your favour and bad luck is when it is not in your favour. And since it is outside fo yourself there is little you can do about it.

@ToolGuy So much to ponder on in this one. It is like the chicken or the egg for me.

"Distance doesn't matter in a relationship."
Jolanta comments on Nov 27, 2019:
You seem to be dating men who are not suitable for any relationships. My advice is to stop trying so hard to meet someone. But what do I know perhaps you are not trying hard. Anyway enjoy the things you have in your life and if you are supposed to meet somebody that will fit you and vice versa it...
Jolanta replies on Nov 27, 2019:
@LiterateHiker You may have to pay someone for it. That may be easier, he, he. I do agree with you that there only seem to be leftovers around, but remember nobody is perfect.

Jolanta replies on Nov 26, 2019:
@Seeker3CO I see you live in the US where bombardment of religion is a daily occurrence. It takes a long time to realise that we don’t have to live our lives as “others” wants us to. Our parents are often the main culprits of leaving us with horrible feelings of guilt. Sometimes there is a constant stream of well meaning verbal abuse, we will never amount to anything, we are ugly, we are stupid, and so it goes on. Until we believe it. Not an easy thing to overcome unfortunately. Do your best, look at your life and ask your self, is there any reason why you should live your life according to someone else idea.

Some people think way too much and don't get to any place at all.
Heraclitus comments on Nov 25, 2019:
That's usually because they are thinking about the wrong things, or asking the wrong questions, and so go round in stagnant circles.

Jolanta replies on Nov 25, 2019:
@ToolGuy Yes, that can be so, however who knows it may be the best thing that has happened to the child and the best thing for the person who does the fostering too. It all has to start somewhere.

Jolanta replies on Nov 24, 2019:
@Grecio No matter where you come from when you move to a different country it is difficult. When you say no Muslims assimilate in the US you are very likely wrong there. How many immigrants and I am not talking about Muslims only have you encountered personally and made them feel welcome. How many have you made friends with? Can you imagine yourself if you were in their shoes and had moved away from the US, how would you "assimilate". I have found that no matter where people are from they do congregate together because where they move to it is difficult to meet the locals.

Jolanta — I have read the Torah— please point out specifically where in the Torah that you read that. Also you are evidently referring to religious doctrine and not an actual law as it pertained to say the kingdom of Israel or the kingdom of Judea
Jolanta replies on Nov 21, 2019:
Which bit of read the Bible did you not understand? Which bit about I came across it in the Bible did you not get? Which bit about I wanted to know is it so did you not understand?
