Bio

After reaching that fine age of 50, a couple years ago and still being single, I began want there to be more to my life. I did the e-harmony and match.com thing 6 years ago and had one significant relationship which gave me hope that it was still possible to find a partner. I am specifically looking for a female partner who lives in Madison. I have no children and am not interested in having small children around on a regular basis, but do enjoy spending time with my 11 year old nephew when he is in Wisconsin from Colorado.

I went to college and nearly finished an engineering degree, but that's as far as I went before moving on to construction work which I enjoyed. In 1999, I was involved in a severe automobile accident which left me disabled. I recovered well and learned to walk again, though my walking is not perfect.
To get my construction skills back, I volunteered for Habitat for Humanity a few years, in 2005, 2006 and 2007. Helping others build stuff is something that brings me joy. I also volunteered for the humane society in several cities I lived in after my injury because I missed my cats. Madison was my home from 1985 to 1994 and I came back in 2004. I love it here and consider it home.
Exercising regularly is part of my life and I am in great shape. I drink an occasional beer or two and don't mind if you have a drink or two just the same. No smoking. I have a problem with being with somebody who's addicted to anything. Air conditioning included. I like being outside in fresh air. A race track is one of my favorite places to be. A dirt track, preferably.
I drive, live on my own and have owned my own photography business since 2008. My photography goes to a number of good causes like the University Avenue Holiday Lights in my home of Madison. It brings me joy as does spending time with my flowers, but does not help me earn much money.
My parents are both still alive and a big part of my life. I visit them a couple times a month, a couple hours away from my home in Madison. They have supported me throughout my life. Now I help them by doing work around their house and yard.
I have made some mistakes in my life and been to prison twice for cocaine related felonies, but that was long ago. Now, I am looking for work, but it is not an easy thing to find, given my past and my disability. Still, I survive and continue to pay my bills. Financial responsibility is a trait I admire in anyone. I'll leave it at that. If you are still reading, great ! I give you credit for continuing this far. I want to hear about you.
