Your idea of dealing with drug dealers is way more suitable for the government officials and political leaders of the United States who are dealers in weapons/finance/pharmaceutical/propaganda products, because they are damaging the world way more than any drugs and their dealers.
Lancer replies on Dec 5, 2017:
I don't like politicians anymore than the next guy. But we have to acknowledge that without the politicians, we wouldn't have a government, we'd have anarchy in the streets. We need politicians no matter how much we hate them. But we don't need drug dealers. Also it's human nature to wage wars. We need happiness and suffering to a degree, it is impossible for everyone to be happy in this world. I do think we need to get some better quality politicians but politicians come from the people. So we need to fix the people before we try to fix the government.

I don't know about you but would you rather choose a job where you won't be killed or one where you would be killed? I don't judge, I prefer safer jobs where I'm not likely to be killed. If I start killing people for their crimes I will deserve the fate I am issuing. There are drug dealers that deserve death. There are also drug dealers that deserve love. For decades my dealer was my best friend.

That's why I said in my comment with my actual opinion. I don't want to fix society, I believe that if there are people who want to do drugs, sell drugs and kill people. I find nothing wrong with that, as long as they don't affect me. There could be someone in front of me doing drugs and as long as they don't come over to me then it's fine.

Generally the drugs in AFL end up screwing with the players gameplay and family life. They don't just take performance enhancing drugs, they also by recreational drugs with their pay. I personally don't like the sport because so many players have been involved with drugs. At least 2 people have used drugs and jumped out a 5+ story window because the thought they could fly. Their lives ended because of their own choices. Which i believe is fine, they used their freedom the way they wanted. I just think that if we as a society continue down this drug addicted path of self destruction. We will not only kill ourselves but also innocent bystanders. That's what I'm concerned with. Also yes they don't shoot them but that's why things need to change. We need stricter laws. We can never eliminate the supply for drugs unless we eliminate the demand. That's what I'm hoping the special administration zone would do. Compress the addicts so they don't hurt others.

At this point in time I just don't find the idea of having kids worthwhile. Mainly because I'm only just in my first year in university. I do plan on having children someday and I'm going to make sure that they grow up strong and logical so that they can attempt to (only if they want to) fix modern society. I'm going to pass on to them the meaning and purpose of life (only if they agree to it) so that they can have a better shot at completing it than me. I've started a legacy and I intend to see it through, no matter the cost. I will arm my children with the knowledge and skills that all children should have, if only their parents understood the importance of proper parenting and discipline. My parents, although strict, were right to discipline me when I needed it and I hope that even though I am an adult, they will continue to provide me with life skills and knowledge. Parenting is the most important period of an adult humans life and yet so many produce failed results. I will not allow my children to be ordinary, to be weak. I will devote my life to making them the strongest that they can be.

Yes, the book was indeed a profound look into several elements of the social condition -- and a far cry from the movie which I felt was a fun but dumb experience. He was one of my mentors in my early years and I treasured his insightful and brutally blunt inputs. I learned much.
Lancer replies on Dec 2, 2017:
I looked into the directors cut of the movie and the writers did say they wanted to make it as similar to the book as they could but due to insufficient material and budgetary constraints. they decided to try to keep a couple of the philosophies of Heinlein like youth, citizenship and morals but couldn't do things like "powered Armour". So they made it into a satire with some cool action scenes. Also you were so lucky to have him as a mentor. I wish he had been my philosophy teacher when I attended mandatory faith and values classes. I would've loved to learn from him. I joined philosophy club where I did more listening and thinking than the other kids. They were smarter and argued in a more complex way but the seniors always dominated the discussion so the juniors just sat there, not participating. It got so bad that as a senior I would raise my hand and then hand off to the juniors without saying anything. Plus the senior students arguments were usually too extreme, they wouldn't even listen to the opposition and try to come to a middle ground. Whenever I had an opinion I would write it on a piece of paper, think about it and chuck it in the bin on the way out, because I realized that I didn't care if people agreed or disagreed with me. I learnt something new and that was enough for me. There was one time when a kid said something ridiculous when I had to intervene. In his opening statement about pain and pleasure he said "And I think we can all agree that it would be ideal if we could feel only pleasure and no pain". It felt like I was smacked in the face with a pile of ignorance. I stood up, raised my hand and waited for him to address me like a respectful audience member. Once he called on me I said "Are you serious? Feeling pain is bad? What about leprosy, do you know what that is?" "It's when your skin gets infected" "No, secondary infections are a secondary symptom of the real cause. Leprosy is a condition where your sensory neurons stop sending signals to your brain. You feel no pain, if I was a leper and someone cut me, I would not feel it. In order for the body to repair itself, it must feel that it has been damaged. Otherwise it will not begin to regenerate itself." The room was silent and then one student tried a wussy little argument which I shot down in an instant because I believe that pain and pleasure must be felt in equal amounts. That's how we grow, from a balanced input. No child which has only felt pleasure, could ever empathize with a child who has only felt pain. This inability to empathize is what causes division between perspectives. We have only ever known 1 side of the story so how can we relate to the other.

There is a false answer that hides the true answer. As in, just when you think you have the answer and you feel despair, wait a bit longer, think a bit further. And you will reach true enlightenment. It will allow you to understand everything that has ever been done and will be done. Every event, every thought, every action and the reasons behind it become clear. I'm not a troll. I honestly don't care about how many people die from whatever causes. I didn't know them so I don't pretend to feel sorry for them. Also I realize that you both may disagree with me on these points. But you cannot deny they fact that Islamic extremists have a tendency to bomb civilians. Yes America has a problem with how to deal with criminals, but gun laws won't work. America is beyond the event horizon (so to say). I'm merely looking at all of society and saying, yes, there are problems. Different problems for different cultures. And different problems require different solutions. America is failing because as a country it has strayed too far from the old values. This era of forced tolerance, of forced acceptance, of forced integration. It is harmful to all. I have never served in the military and I don't claim to. I was going to but some SAS soldiers whom I respect, told me it's not a life worth perusing. Fighting for a country and people who would no sooner tell you to kill the enemy than they would turn their back on you and imprison you for following orders. Also this white supremacist stuff is bullshit. All races have horrible individuals in them. I've been racially vilified by Indians, Australians, British. But I don't care about race. The first thing one must do to get rid of racism is to stop talking about it. I'm an Australian and unlike most other young people, I was raised right with a balanced upbringing. I have been bullied before but I didn't just cry and accept it. I stood my ground and am stronger because of it. I believe that the muslims, Americans, Australians and all of the world have their own problems which require different solutions. Is that so bad? Is it bad to want to ban Iranians from entering the US when they've elected anti-American leaders for years? Also there's a reason the King of Algeria, the Egyptian military, Saddam hussein and Colonel Qaddafi all stopped the muslim brotherhood parties from enforcing sharia law in their countries. It is barbaric, but to be honest maybe we do need a bit of barbarism. Some floggings in the streets and public executions? Then you can get a taste of cultural exchange. All I'm saying is we need to keep our problems separate and fix them individually. Don't mix them up. @kmdskit3 America is responsible for the Taliban, Al-Qaeda, ISIS, IRA and many other terrorist group armaments. They fund terrorism and global instability throughout the world. Aren't they a bigger threat? @zanyfish I'm not a white supremacist, I speak the truth when I say that we all have cultural problems that need solving. I used to ski until I went over the cliff side. From that moment on, I decided to switch to snowboards and I've loved it ever since. Only problem is that for skiing, you can keep accelerating with the poles, so when people who ski take up the whole trail going left and right. Snow boarders have to chance it and although we stick to the side we will never know how far a skier will go to try and collide with us. Because we can't regain any lost speed. We either make it over to the next trail in one shot or we make ourselves crash to avoid the skier who took up the whole track and we walk over the next hill to the next track. I literally crashed into 5 women in 5 days last time I was snow boarding. first 2 were because I was still inexperienced and trying to get a handle of things. The last 3 were just 50/50 chances. Too many people crossing the main track at the bottom, made it hard for everyone who was coming down with enough speed to make it over then next hill.

That's a shame. They're just the same as most Christians and most Jews. They just want to live, have a family and go about their lives. It's the bloody corrupt Imam's that take advantage of less fortunate teenagers to teach them a warped version of Islam that advocates violence and victory at any cost. That's not a way of life, its a cycle of death. I'm personally against all foreign wars. Every country should only deploy it's military on its own land. That way it's only purpose is defense of its nation. But to invade a foreign country in the name of peace is just plain wrong. (I say this but if I was a general in charge of my country and another one swore to destroy it then I would annihilate them in an instant, so I realize I'm contradicting myself. I just mean generally we should stick to our own borders). I'm a pacifist but if my life or the lives of people I care about are ever threatened then no matter what. My enemy would have to be killed. I know not all of them do it but here's my analogy and why I agree with Trump's travel ban from certain countries. If we say migration is like drinking water from your tap and the bad muslims are lethal concentrations of lead, would you keep drinking the water knowing full well you were going to die from it? Or would you turn off the water supply at the mains, find the source of lead and remove it before allowing water to continue to flow into your house to drink from it? Trump has simply addressed the problem at the source, something no other "Brave" politician has done because it's controversial. We need to properly filter people before they migrate to a country so that these types of atrocities don't re-occur.

No. I mean the kind of history that governments and other organisations don't want most people to know. I gave more than a couple of examples as to what classifies as hidden history. Just anything that you've come across in mainstream history that made you go "that doesn't add up" Like for me, gassing jews, cremating them, etc. just didn't add up for me during ww2. Why would a nation at war waste valuable resources to kill some civilian prisoners? Why waste the chemicals to kill them and the fuel to burn them when you could easily shoot them, starve them or let them freeze out in the open? It's a waste of resources. I then found reports that the soviets built the chimneys at the camps and knocked down walls to make them look like chambers. But the doors were made of wood. Who makes a gas chamber with wooden doors? Plus Hitler was a soldier in WW1 and we all know that anyone who has witnessed war would never want to repeat it unless they had a very good reason. This led to me wondering what the original purpose of the war was. Which led me to the Treaty which stated that 1) Germany and all it's media outlets could not publish any official documents until 2099 unless the allies allowed it (Control of media). 2) Each German chancellor must pledge allegiance to the USA before entering office. Sounds dodgy right? So whatever history you think most people don't know about. The really high quality stuff that governments hate people knowing.

Well humans fight wars so often that it might as well be considered normal, hence natural. I mean something would be seriously wrong if we went 20 years without war. As far as history is concerned, we have a major war at least once every 20-30 years. But there is the other argument that natural only incorporates organic methods. Which in this case your argument would be true since weapons are the creation of a sentient species. Which would be an artificial form of population control using natural human beings. So in this case we could both be correct. Just depends on perspective, like most things.

As a foreigner I do thing that America is a great country. But just as the Roman Empire was a great empire for some, it was oppressive for others. Think of the innocent children the Americans bombed in Libya, Iraq, Yemen, Syria, Afghanistan. It's no wonder there are so many terrorists. The second you kill someone's family they have nothing left but a desire for revenge. America has done so many horrible things to the rest of the world. Your country's military almost killed my dad. A British engineer. Just because he was in Libya when your country bombed it. He had to bury the bodies the next day and has PTSD because of it. I had to help him through some tough times when I was only 14. My mum and older sister weren't strong enough to help him but I was. I never want to see that kind of thing again. To see someone you love crying is painful. I have very good control over my emotions for my age but that moment almost shattered me. I wasn't strong because I wanted to be. I was strong because I had to be, because no one else was there. So (this isn't an attack on you, just another opinion) next time you think about America being the greatest country in the world. Think about the lives that were taken or ruined as a side effect of the wars you started and profited from.

I know what you mean. I also think that in America if people all armed themselves with non-lethal self defense like tazers, "a salt rifle" (joke, but those actually exist. I think FN-herstral make them), etc. Then there would be less victims. If everyone tool their lives and their safety seriously then there would be more survivors in those types of events. When I was a kid (like 9 years ago) we would just have "insult battles". We rarely fought, I only had about 5 fights in primary school and 1 in highschool because 1 new student from the UK heard I was the "alpha male" of the school (regardless of the fact that I never even fought anyone, I just stopped a bully from picking on some kids this one time) and challenged me to a fight when the teacher was out of the room. I declined repeatedly until he moved over to my desk and threw my papers to the floor. He won because I wasn't taking it seriously and the teacher cam back in time. I didn't used to be a violent person, just someone who hates bullies. I stood my ground and stood up for others. Another time my friend was pushed to the ground and he sprained his ankle because some of the upper clansmen said we couldn't sit on "their benches". Instead of fighting them about it I took my friends arm and helped him get to the nurses office.

I agree with you. You make a good observation at the end as well. Overall I think your view is quite balanced. I just personally wanted to have a combat type training to give me more skills that I could use in the world to defend myself. Because in a real fight, there are no rules. Whatever you choose not to do, just gives the enemy another advantage because they don't abide by any rules.

So sit back, relax and let's be civilised about this." With a smile. However there is one black man in America who has proceeded to convert members of the KKK by showing them he is a good person. He meets with them, has coffee or tea and discusses their beliefs and opinions with them. He outlines his own beliefs, draws similarities and becomes friends with them. After a few weeks they renounce their KKK membership and as a token of gratitude the ex-KKK member gives their face covering to the black man. (I can't remember his name). So just as a comparison. Where you and I would resort to threats. A man who has been Personally insulted and threatened. Sits down with his enemy to make him his friend. He said "if you sit down for 5 minutes and talked to your enemy you'll find you have more in common than not". So let us both take away the fact that violent insults don't stop violent insults.

With regards to "just look at what we have elected for a president. I am so ashamed!". I wanted to ask. Are you referring to Trump? Because if you are I just want to propose a possible idea. If we wait for his full term in office of 4 years and then look at what he has done to the country. Can we make up our minds about him then? No use to anyone if we jump the gun. The reason Trump has such a bad reputation is 80% anti-Trump media and 20% the way he acts/what he says. I'm sure that you have realized what his tactics are by now. He baits, waits and strikes. He throws out an extremely controversial tweet or comment, waits for the media to begin responding and then signs several executive orders that were prepared beforehand, in quick succession. It is a shock tactic because the media can't just react heavily to his 1 comment then shift the attention to the executive orders otherwise it plays down his comment. The target audience love to watch people debate how horrible his comments or tweets are but they can't show the executive orders because they actually work and are mostly good for the nation. If the media do go after the executive orders then they have to go after all of them. Which is what Trump wants. Once they find 1 extremist controversial executive order then Trump will reveal the 10 other orders that improved the nation. It's a very high stakes high risk bet so to speak.

Lancer replies on Nov 23, 2017:
I wouldn't say the problem is too much freedom (although you may be correct). It's that people don't understand how to use their freedom constructively. Inside all of us we have parts that are good and parts that are bad. When you give people who are generally good more freedom then it is a positive thing. But when you give people who are generally bad more freedom, they use it to do destructive things. It's not freedom that cause the problems, it's people. The reason why dictatorships work well in the middle east and Africa is because the countries there have developed from tribal origins. The strongest warrior was the leader and he made choices for the whole tribe. When a power hungry male wanted power then a fight would determine the leader. In Iraq and Libya at least, this holds true. Saddam and Qaddafi were in control of the military, they crushed rebellious youths before large scale conflict could arise. They were careful and took precautions. But the reason that they were removed from power is because the Americans got involved. Small nations like Iraq and Libya had no chance of defeating the US armed forces. Now the bloodshed that has ensued from ISIS in the struggle for power over Iraq and Syria has shown us the effects of an american imposed democracy. Untrained troops, death and destruction in the streets, no water, no electricity, shot up schools, underfunded hospitals. I'm sure freedom was worth it but at what cost? (That last one is a rhetorical question but feel free to answer it anyone if you feel like it. I just did it for emotive effect)

It was necessary to mislead people in order to find out if people actually think about their decisions in a care free environment. By calling this a serious vote it would nullify the aim of this experiment. Thus I decided that it would be best to allow each person to believe that their vote didn't matter, evidently they chose to put no thought into their decision as I suspected. He will never admit it but that's the kind of president that he was. I have nothing against the LGBT community as long as they keep to themselves. But when they try to get legislation into schools to teach children as young as 6 about LGBT's before they even understand the concept of gender then I get pissed off. But when you go looking for a fight like America did in the middle east and Africa, you have to expect that the people will resist your illegal and oppressive invasion. One thing I found strange about America is that it welcomed Islamic refugees even though Islamic people were fighting them in the middle east and were basically their enemy. Children really are the future. If we don't raise them right then as a society it will mean that we are working with a lower quality input into the system and we will inevitably receive a lower quality output. I'm not saying we need to license parenting but there should be a minimum standard, like not murdering your kids like a mother who lived in my city did. Maybe, just maybe we need to think "If the parent just wants to kill the kid, they shouldn't be allowed to keep the kid" Instead of insisting that parents know best.

There is a fairly big disconnect between the title (combat training) and the subsequent text (self defense). They are not the same thing. I didn't vote.

I didn't say your response was PC. I was just saying that most people react with prejudice because they form their opinions before reading the argument. Which is why we need to use politically correct language. Otherwise the reactive people will never think for themselves and read the argument before forming an opinion.

Voted optional. I also think that if a kid has a history of bullying in their school record, they shouldn't be allowed to take it. Kinda defeats the purpose if you're teaching the bullies to fight XD
Lancer replies on Nov 21, 2017:
Thanks man. You sound like a chill person. I'm not encouraging bullying or violence, I detest both. But I also think that people should have the opportunity to train themselves. They might never need to use these skills which would be ideal. But it's always a case of "it's better to have it and not use it than need it and not have it". Anyway, have a nice day.

If a person wants to be enhanced, then there's no reason not to let them. There's already technology in China that allows certain levels of enhancement. There's no reason to think that such technology won't advance further. I would probably be happy to replace my right leg with a mechanical one.

You're absolutely correct. I agree with you 100% It makes sense from a logical perspective but people don't really think in a logical way the majority of the time.

My best friend raised the same argument as you. It is true that an over dependence on machines will remove certain jobs, we have already seen this happen with globalization where countries have given up lower paying jobs to foreign companies. Margret Thatcher did this in Britain and it resulted in a massive number of people committing suicide because they couldn't find work. Mainly cause she rushed it but hey, gender equality. Women need to start taking lives more seriously if they want the same status as men (Just a joke). When we do get to the stage that we develop fully sentient AI they won't go on a killing rampage as we predicted (unless we program them to do so) due to the meaning and purpose of life. Anyway, long story short we need to transition this very slowly. We need to keep human jobs available but also integrate AI into systems that could save lives like cars, when we get to the stage where artificial human augmentation is a safe and affordable service to the public. aeroplanes, etc.

What you say is true but the average person lacks so much empathy that it would never cross their mind to help someone who needs it. I'm a registered organ donor because I believe that if I die, someone else should have the chance to live. Even if they eventually grow up and turn into a murdered, rapist, terrorist, etc. I believe in freedom of choice. If they live then they can do whatever they want. It's just a matter of life

It's also good for the economy. It's funny how people think wars like WW2 were about ideology but in reality they were about power. Money, resources, land and labor are a few forms of power which were contested over during WW2.

I completely agree. One problem that would be resolved for the world would be organ replacement. Prisoners in china are sometimes killed for their organs. Some people harvest organs from illegal immigrants or unsuspecting tourists. If we were able to mass produce artificial organs that are not rejected by the body then it would solve this problem.

You're probably right. Also there is no such thing as the best era for humans in a natural state. I'm going to respond to this comment the way that Rick Sanchez does. I do like how some Asian countries have martial arts as part of their daily routine. When I was in school, Phys Ed was mandatory- but they had such limited options. It'd be nice if they included self-defense/martial arts.

We, as parents, need to do such training. I would not entrust that to anyone else, as I would want to equip them for self0defense while -- at the same time -- teaching my children to use those techniques and devices to take advantage of others.
Lancer replies on Nov 20, 2017:
I agree with you. But let's be honest, how many parents do you know who can fight? The majority of parents can't even raise their kids to have basic manners, let alone a less important skill like self defense.

If we train and discipline bullies to control their emotions and train themselves, give them a purpose. Then you can save them from that path and help them to use their talents to teach others for their own benefit.

Lancer replies on Nov 20, 2017:
I would mostly agree with you. However there is another perspective we could use to look at your example. I was once called a bully and I used to think I was worthless, bad and unnecessary. I put no value on my life. Every teacher I had didn't want anything to do with me (they were all women). But one day one of the male teachers overheard the women talking badly about me in the staff room. (He told me this many years later) I was going into year 4 of primary school the next year and this teacher requested that I be put in his class. The bad boy who no one liked, the bully. He wanted to see for himself if I was that bad. After 5 weeks he asked me to stay behind after class. I stayed, he asked if I would like to have extra lessons on maths and english grammar after school. I was too young to understand but I said yes and he talked to my parents about it. He would teach me more on the subjects than he would the other students, and one day when he put a difficult question on the board that he knew only I could solve. All the kids had trouble, then he asked me to solve it and show the other students what to do. I had been the worst academic student in year 3, but now I was teaching the class. It gave me temporary purpose and made me feel wanted, feel good. If he had decided to just leave me be because some people called me a bully, then I probably would be a bully today. The reason other teachers called me a bully was because I would stand up to the real bullies. My dad recieved a call one day about how I "Bullied" 3 boys 3 years older than me, on my own. Sound like BS? well to these women it made perfect sense. The other 3 boys were bullying my older sister, and I wasn't going to let it continue. The 3 boys lied and the teachers just accepted it because of their prejudice.

War is bad. But it seems to be an irrevocable part of life, and in a way necessary. Without conflict, peace would cease to have any meaning.
Lancer replies on Nov 19, 2017:
In order to stop war we must understand the reason it continues to perpetuate itself even in so called "developed nations". One thing I have learned from watching a specific series is one of the reasons that war is repeated can be found in this quote "There’s no hope on the battlefield. It has nothing but unspeakable despair. Just a crime we call victory, paid for by the pain of the defeated. Yet humanity has never recognized this truth. And the reason for that is, in every era, a dazzling hero has blinded people with their legends and prevented them from seeing the evil of bloodshed. The true nature of humanity has not advanced a step beyond the Stone Age!"

Lancer replies on Nov 19, 2017:
You are absolutely correct in what you say. I think we can all agree that war is unnecessary and wrong. However it is one of the most commonly used method for settling disputes. In the novel "Starship Troopers" there was a good scene. Dizzy: My mother always told me that violence doesn't solve anything. Jean Rasczak: Really? I wonder what the city founders of Hiroshima would have to say about that. [to Carmen]Jean Rasczak: You. Carmen: They wouldn't say anything. Hiroshima was destroyed. Jean Rasczak: Correct. Violence has resolved more conflicts than anything else. The contrary opinion that violence doesn't solve anything is merely wishful thinking at its worst.

Are we to assume that people who lived before us. who knew less than us about science and the universe. Are more qualified to discuss something that only just became discover-able due to the advances in science and technology? Thats like asking a caveman to explain the concept of gravity. This is a question which only the people of the present can answer. The majority of the ancient philosophers lacked sufficient knowledge to accurately address this question. That is why I will never use an outdated source to answer a complex question such as this. That is not to say I don't accept knowledge gleamed from past scientists. It's just that most philosophers take a moral approach to these questions rather than a scientific.

War is necessary sometimes, but it is bad all the time. example: just before WW2 Hitler was massacring non Aryans,..You couldn't talk him to the path of peace and non violence, war was necessary...For jews it was like kill nazis and save yourself or Rest in Peace
Lancer replies on Nov 19, 2017:
Seeing as we only have access to between 30-40% of the history of WW2 I would suggest we don't use that example. Also is genocide really that bad? The English did it, The Africans do it, the Australians did it and the Americans did it. Also all war is unnecessary, we just create them because it's economically viable. War only ceases when the economic expenditure of a nation is too great or when a significant number of citizens is expended thus reducing the fighting capacity of that nation. If I was in charge of a nation and another country attacked me, I would advocate the genocide of the instigating country. The only way to win a war forever is to annihilate the race, culture and history of your enemy. Plain and simple. If you do what America did in Afghanistan or Iraq and let people live, they will pass down their prejudice, indoctrinate their children and make them swear to keep fighting the enemy. A good quote for this is "A battle is not like some stupid argument, as long as one of is is still breathing, the fight isn't over". If you let your enemy escape, they will return to destroy you. Hence why genocide makes sense from a logical perspective. We abstain from it because it is "immoral" or "inhumane"

That is very good to hear. I personally have nothing against religion but I just prefer not to associate with any organisation which has been known to engage in bloody conflicts. I'm glad I didn't find God in religion though. I was faithless and a little depressed but I managed to find something even better than God. Something that could explain everything that has and will happen on Earth. The true meaning and purpose of life. It is a very heavy burden on the mind but it has forced me to massively increase my mental fortitude. I've only re-discovered about 30% of it but even that is more than any other known human being on Earth. So I'm proud of myself for continuing to ask the questions that led me to the answer.
