What has happened to the world when people are offered the chance to bug themselves for the sake of turning the lights on and off with their voice and they say, "Yes please." Orwell foresaw a world of mass surveillance being forced on the populous, even he did not see a would where the public demanded to be surveyed and spied upon in exchange for being able to tell a machine in the living room to flush the toilet for you upstairs ten minutes after using it.

LenHazell53 comments on May 24, 2018:
I believe that a lot of Christians know this is doctrinal but try not to think about it. Christians know that saying they do think so, means they are the sort of bastard who thinks people deserve to be punished in agony for all eternity. Just for disrespecting their monstrous god. The two standard Christoholic arguments against this are:- God sends no one to Hell you send yourself and the equally It is not up to me to judge, it is god's will and judgement the fact that these two arguments contradict one another does not seem to bother them in the least

When is no evidence, evidence?
LenHazell53 comments on May 22, 2018:
The burden of proof always rests on the person claiming the presence and existence of a person, thing, phenomena or concept. I don't need to prove phlogiston does not exist, since no evidence can be provided to indicate that it does, the insistence that its intangibility, invisibility, inaudibility, tastelessness and odourless ness are inherent properties of Phlogiston is no excuse for a lack of evidence and lead people eventually to look for another explanation for fire, which turned out to be easily evidential, which is why no one any longer accepts that fire is made of phlogiston. Oddly though when the same people apply the same logic to god(s) they instead decide he, she or it still exists anyway. Odd that.

Expanding your mind begins with being open to things you don't understand.
LenHazell53 comments on May 22, 2018:
I'm afraid I can't agree with that, expanding your mind begins with admitting there are things you don't know and wanting to know them. I will say I don't understand, how something happens or works, or why something happens or works but that is not the same as saying I don't understand something, because being aware is the beginning of understanding the how, what, when, where, why and sometimes who behind it.

Looking for some help on this one.
LenHazell53 comments on May 22, 2018:
Personally I believe the problem comes from generation after generation of people brought up to believe they are more and more "entitled" with each successive iteration. Entitled to have (and to be given) Entitled to wants (as opposed over needs) Entitled to greed (and not to be criticized for hoarding and obesity) Entitled to superiority (rather than equality) Entitled to respect (as opposed to earning it) Entitled to be listened to (even when they have only lies and complaints) Entitled to be rude (because manners are old fashioned) And entitled to disproportionate revenge when upset (You called me a nasty name so I'll shoot you, you insulted my religion so I will blow you up, you hurt my feelings so, I'll blow your fucking head off!) The UK and Europe are going the same way, and add to that the media generate fear of "The other" and easy access to powerful weapons and you have a recipe for a society that is purging itself in favour of the weak and pathetic.

LenHazell53 comments on May 21, 2018:
Anyone can have faith in anything being true, it is only when you have added a religious element that people even start to take you seriously. I have faith that life is happy and death is sad. I have faith my mum was married to my dad. I have faith that things that aren't good tend to be bad. I have faith... Yes, I have faith. I'm prepared to have faith that Theresa May gives two fucks. I'm prepared to have faith E. L. James wrote a readable book. I have faith that "Dirty Harry" wasn't really dirty. I have faith that John Barrowman is still under 30. I have faith Adam Sandler's funny! That Summertime is sunny. And that the worlds but 6000 years old. And that British beer is better when it's cold! I am prepared to say X factor isn't fixed And that you can watch a good film on netflix! I'm prepared to have faith that things go better with Coke. And that Bin laden told a darn good knock-knock joke. I have faith that some folks think there is a point to prayin'. And that Salt Lake City is a real nice place to stay in. I have faith that maybe Boris Johnson's really smart! I have faith that Prince Philip's not a racist fart! And I have faith that the devil is ready to repent! But I can't believe Donald Trump is president!
I have a question for you ladies.

Writers, where do you get your character names?
LenHazell53 comments on May 21, 2018:
I tend to use names that hint a characters personality, or are diametrically opposed to the character role in the story. Such as calling an evil character Angelo, or Goodman. My favourite name I ever used was for a corrupt arms dealer named Hephaestus Finger, a bit pretentious but effective.

How do you define "incredible" sex?
LenHazell53 comments on May 20, 2018:
To me the best sex is when all those involved experience emotional, physical and mental satisfaction. When the pleasure extends further than the genitals, further than the body and in to the pleasure centers of brain. Meaning the congress is memorable for more than the orgasm and is genuinely recalled with genuine affection years and even decades later. I have been lucky enough to have had sex like that perhaps four times in my life, two of them were with my wife and two with other people, prior to my 2nd marriage, non of them involved my first wife.
During slavery, whites used Christianity to force slaves to accept their situation.
LenHazell53 comments on May 20, 2018:
This is not new, even in Rome, Constantine made Christianity the official religion of th the empire because of it's obvious pro slavery stance. Suffer now, be rewarded in heaven. The Egyptians enslaved Jews for exactly the same reason, they saw it as their lot to suffer.
Would you rather see a movie turned into a book or a book turn into a movie?
LenHazell53 comments on May 20, 2018:
Movie being turned in to books, or Novelisation as they used to be called are invariably poor. Allen Dean Foster and James Blish used to be the go to guys for this, having written novelisation of Poltergeist 2, all of the star Wars original trilogy, Star trek, Alien and the Entity, back in the seventies and eighties. (To be fair Foster did write some unofficial Star wars sequels that were not half bad) However more recently in the 1990s Vonda McIntyre has written some good adaptations of films in the sci-fi genre usually putting back in cut scenes from films more character development and often improving bad dialogue. But in this day of extended editions, director's cuts and deleted scene extras I think the day of the novelisation is over.

Why are the school shooters almost always young boys?
LenHazell53 comments on May 20, 2018:
It boils down to the quintessential idea, programmed in to boys from birth Assert authority and enforce it by greater might 1. He insults, you hit 2. He hits, you hit and kick 3. He picks up a stick, you pick up a rock 4. He sends you to the hospital, you send him to the morgue 5. He gets a gang, you raise an army 6. They have guns, you get bombs 7. The raze your city, you blow their country off the face of the earth However in recent times we seem to have cut out every stage between 1 and 6a He insults, you get bombs And in the case of the school shooter He insults you send him and all his friends, to the morgue. Since when did we stop being able to see an insult as a sign of idiocy, and laugh it off.

LenHazell53 comments on May 20, 2018:
It is a sad fact that some people have a narrow definition of what constitutes "a human life" that usually involves, place of birth, colour of skin, language spoken, gender and the name of your imaginary sky father. I was once told in all seriousness by a then friend, that he was incapable of thinking of any other life lost in a war as being as important or worth anything more than a passing acknowledgement if the deceased was not American, Christian and white. American blood apparently is liquid gold; everyone else's veins are filled with putrid slime.

LenHazell53 comments on May 20, 2018:
The Final Proof of the non-Existence of God was proved by a Babel Fish. Now, it is such a bizarrely improbable coincidence that anything so mind-bogglingly useful could have evolved purely by chance that some have chosen to see it as the final proof of the NON-existence of God. The argument goes something like this: "I refuse to prove that I exist," says God, "for proof denies faith, and without faith I am nothing." "But," says Man, "the Babel fish is a dead giveaway, isn't it? It could not have evolved by chance. It proves that You exist, and so therefore, by Your own arguments, You don't. QED" "Oh dear," says God, "I hadn't thought of that," and promptly vanishes in a puff of logic. "Oh, that was easy," says Man, and for an encore goes on to prove that black is white and gets himself killed on the next zebra crossing. Douglas Adams

There are a number of so-called "Satanic" churches. Some are Atheist and took the name from being called that by Xtains Some have nothing to do with Satan, but are called satanic anyway by Christards, such as pagans, Buddhist, Wicca's, druids etc who have no concept of Satan in their doctrine Some do worship a being who they believe is the true god and who has been usurped by the true devil YWHW. And there are people, who like to get naked, work themselves in to a frenzy and shag each other all night, and use as an excuse.

Joseph Goebbels did not hold a PhD in philosophy; his doctorate was a PHD, (which means doctor of Philosophy, in the same way a BA degree is a bachelor of arts, but can be in any creative subject not necessarily art) Goebbels area study and dissertation was Literature, meaning he was a Doctor of theatrical literature, specialising in 19th century Playwrights, as it was his aim to become a playwright himself, he failed miserably, with only a string of un-produced and rejected plays making up his portfolio, until he moved in to political promotion and propaganda instead. His PHD supervisor was the illustrious Jewish academic Max Freiherr von Waldberg. Some theorise it was his failed post academic career being blamed on Max Freiherr not being honest about his lack of talent that lead to his later extreme anti-Semitism especially against Jewish intellectuals. It is true however that in Hitler's inner circle he was the only Intellectual, having earned his University education by scholarship and pure effort, before becoming embittered and corrupted by the lure of vile fascism.
