How does a guy get raped? I thought that was "scoring" a hit. If their 'member' rises to the occasion what is the fault of the female? Unless of course they're in jail. Males are more than equipped being at least able to fend off a female, some men are way too huge over me so I don't even go out ...
LenHazell53 replies on Jul 28, 2021:
I was trapped in a five and a half year abusive relationship with a woman, I was physically, mentally, emotionally and sexually assaulted on a regular basis, you as a woman may not call it rape, but violent sexual attack is to a man rape. It is not "scoring" it is violent, frightening and scarring. And bare in mind, doing anything to "fight back" immediately labels you as the man a domestic abuser, the sense of helplessness is the worst part. Edit and FYI the "Member" does not have to "rise to the occasion" for their to be a sexual assault on a man by a woman. I am not prepared to describe the details here, but suffice to say, a man can be used and abused in more ways than one against his will.

@FrayedBear It had belonged to a local elderly lady and it outlived her. Her family did not want it so gave it to the local museum where we were based. The Museum had a small menagerie as a permanent exhibit that was mainly tropical fish and birds and asked us if we wanted to make the Lizard a project for the kids, so we took it. Poor thing did not even have a name (that had died with the previous owner) so the kids named it Barney.

As for number 4 do you really want me to educate you on your own pledge of allegiance? Okay Yes the United states is a Republic in that it it is ruled by its people and not a monarch. HOWEVER a republic is not a form of governing, it is a governmental system that excludes the divine right of royalty. A democracy can be a republic, and vice versa if it follows democratic principles. You may recall in 1776 your country became a republic, however prior to this and post this switch to republicanism it was still a democracy, after a fashion. In so far as the electorate allows one vote person citizen in the process of electing its rulers American is still a democracy. However its two houses of parliament are though representatively democratic not functionally democratic for the reasons you describe, this does not however make them functionally republican other than in the fact they are not pro-royalist. There have been non democratic republics in the past the soviet union or Iran for example, but these were always under some other form of rule, be it political, oligarchal, theological, plutocratic or dictatorial

It "explicitly prohibits" nothing, because it is NOT a book of rules, but a guide to and explanation of how the procedure evolved and of the conventions and traditions of both the upper and lower houses. However 1) this is completely irelevent to the discussion and 2) Since you have "read much of the book" you already knew all that, did you not, you just chose not to name the volume, mention which edition you were quoting from and decided to misname the author no doubt confusing Thomas Erskine May, with Thomas May the poet, dramatist and historian of the Renaissance era? @FrayedBear You are quite right there were many democracies before ancient Greece they just were not called such and many were more akin to what we define as a democracy today. Many people think the word democracy comes from the Greek Demos (The citizenry) IT DOES NOT, it comes from Demo (the district) Demo apo Demos Δήμος ανά Δήμο the Municipality of the Citizens The aspiration of those who claim to want a democracy in the modern sense are actually craving an ***anthropocracy*** direct rule by the people The Greek Demo Kratos meant rule by districts, meaning that each district of a city state sent one person to sit in the city chancellery of elders each chosen by the Free, property owning, Men of that said district. It had nothing to down with elections, one person one vote, canvassing or campaigning. All the trimmings we see today are corruptions of earlier systems tied to Greek representative Demo Kratos to produce the highly manipulable and fixable system, that gives the illusion of fair and representative government while actually functioning as a Plutocracy.

Apparently, Brandt never intended the nomination to be taken seriously. Brandt was a dedicated antifascist and had **intended this nomination more as a satiric criticism of the current political debate in Sweden**. At the time, a number of Swedish parliamentarians had nominated then British Prime Minister Neville Chamberlin for the Nobel Peace Prize, a nomination which Brandt viewed with great skepticism. However, **Brandt’s satirical intentions** were not well received and **the nomination was swiftly withdrawn in a letter dated 1 February 1939**."* https://www.nobelprize.org/

I have to disagree, those people were there before Trump but did not feel legitimised, they knew to keep their head down and their ideas in check. Trump became a symbol for them to rally too and he made them feel legitimate and mainstream. Fascism had been around for decades before Mosely, Franco, Mussolini and Hitler turned it in to something electable. Trump not only has to go, he has to be disgraced and shown up for what he is and was, his myth has to be broken, his claim to legitimacy shown to be false, and his ideals shown to be corrupt and false. If the other 53% do not do this another Trumpist will rise to take his place and you'll be in a fascist dictatorship before you can whistle two bars of "Hitler has only got one ball" The myth of Trump is appealing to the US mentality, he has the appearance of wealth, he is famous, he was on TV, he is fat and old but is married to a former model and erotic movie star, he is at times genuinely funny, but in that snide sarcastic way comedians like Phil silvers used to call the Schmuckee, without ever making them feel like the Shmuck. He talks about what is important to the idiot and never mentions what is actually important (I don't care if there is a drought, I care if I can flush my toilet in a way AL Bundy would approve of and to hell with the long term consequences! and as for people who are the wrong colour, who wants to look at that from their couch on the lawn!) Populist are popular because they say and promise what fuckwits want to hear, and promise the impossible and the unwise for teh sake of short term gain and to hell with tomorrow if I've got beer and a big car today. The only way to stop them getting in to power again is to stop breeding and educating people to be malcontented, gun toting arseholes who live to hate, and hate others living better than they do, whose idea of the American dream is a plastic titted wife in a pick up truck, loaded full of guns, dogs and kids on their way to a KKK queer bashing rodeo and Jamboree.

…or Mother in Scots dialect!
LenHazell53 replies on Jul 4, 2021:
@Marionville Prior to the Roman invasion the ancient indigenous inhabitants of the what is now England were the Welsh, the Brettons and the Icini. The Welsh fled in to what is now Wales and waged two centuries of guerilla warfare against the Romans under Caractacus and others. Scotland was mainly the domain of the Picts descended from the Celtic ancient British and the Celtic Scots (Calidones) immigrants, who shared a common ancestry with the Irish Celts (Hibounes) who had slaughtered the ancient Irish and taken Eire for their own . The Roman's were the first to separate England and Scotland in to separate nations, mainly because Scotland was to bloody cold for the Mediterranean roman army to be bothered with it, and later did manage to conquer Wales but after some superb oratory in Rome Caractacus negotiated a tribute system for his people rather than conquest, to which they agreed on the condition that he faced public execution as penance. In effect the Welsh and modern Scots are the only UK races descended from the original inhabitants, the rest of us English are a mongrel breed of Jutes, Normans, Angles, Saxons, Romans, Dutch Calvinists, Hugonauts and Vikings . It is hardly a wonder that spoken English has very little in common with any form of Gaelic be it Welsh, Scots or Hibernian.

No written immunity was ever drawn up, but there was apparently "A gentleman's agreement" and it is this handshake agreement that has been used to get Quaalude Cosby out of jail, because if you can't trust a DA to live up to his end of a crooked bargain the whole justice system will collapse.
