Toyota has been pushing the Hydrogen cars as "better than electric" and making bad engineering choices. VW partnered with Greely (a Chinese company) for it's electric cars and they are over priced, slow charging, short range and short lifespan making them a bad choice.

He doesn't see the history of taxation as the major problem that it always has been though he does mention it as "a part of the problem". As for the poorest county they are for a reason. They can't adapt and blame the rest of California for their problems not taking into account that without us subsidizing them they would be living without running water and electricity as well as no paved roads or hwys.

@zeuser Remember I predicted the US would come to this point back in 1972 and have been keeping tack of the situation ever since. I am hoping we can do even better thanks to the states that have legalized marijuana and we might get Nevada, Arizona, New Mexico and Colorado as well. It might not be immediately but New Mexico would be willing which has a border with Mexico which would allow for Colorado even if the other two held back until they found out how much they and California were interdependent on each other economically.

@zeuser Pretty sure we are going to see the balkanization of the US soon and in the Red States we will see not only an increase in poverty but a rapid decrease in population and GDP as well.... With a little luck we can at least have California, Oregon, Washington and Hawaii in the West with the potential to add Mexico and Canada to the group which would give us the most productive and wealthy country in the world by GPD. If it does happen we can hopefully end a lot of the poverty and homelessness we are seeing as well as ending the drug pipelines.
