The fastest one built ran at 345 KPH and was built over 30 years ago. The main problem with a Maglev is that they require a lot electricity to operate but if your generation is light enough and compact enough powered by Liquid Hydrogen you not only have clean renewable power but you just flipped the problem upside down. In addition to building safe efficient transportation you have also built the worlds largest zero emissions power-plant. Kind of what happens you see when you cross two magnetic fields is you generate electricity. The most limiting factor would be you couldn't run the non-stop we talked about at much over 960 KPH without creating a sonic boom. We used to think big here in the US but we have become small because of small minded bigots with huge mouths. I would see that changed if I could.
