@Betty No the real problem is that with ocean levels rising we are taking no steps (even the smallest ones) to combat the problems. California alone dumps 4 billion gallons of treated waste water (1.33 billion gallons a day of liquid hydrogen) into the pacific daily. Diverting it to supply water for watering yards and crops as well as cracking it for hydrogen using solar and wind power for fuel could effectively exceed energy and water requirements for the state and reduce pollution scaling back climate change and if done nationally could meet the needs of the entire country. Why are trains running on diesel when you could replace those big dirty engines with fuel cell technology and have zero pollution from them instead?.... Cars, trucks, buses and the rest as well?

I want to end that policy and redo the decaying water system in this city that is over 100 years old in parts with a new plan. Recycled water for the fire hydrants and irrigation and clean water for the rest. I figure that would result in a city wide water savings of at least 60%....

@Betty Longest round trip so far has been about 40 miles I did that one twice on the dual battery setup and had about 1/3 of the charge remaining. Which considering the grades I was traveling over is really pretty good.

@Betty The drainage system should actually reduce my water bill and be good for the environment as well. Not only will this home be energy efficient I am planning to put in a battery back up and a car port that will give me patio with a bathroom and enclosed kitchen on the roof for family gatherings. I am also going to put in a library in the front room which should hold at least 1,000 books many of them either first editions or rare books 200 to 500 years old.

@Betty I am saving up enough to rewire my home to modern standards and replace all the gas appliances with electrical ones and at the same time put in outer wall insulation and new siding.. Once that is done new plumbing (to my standards) and a new roof with solar electric which should bring my electric bill to zero or even money back each year. New walls and fences as well as walkways with drainage to prevent flooding and leech lines on the drains to deep water the property. Since I plan to do some of the work myself it shouldn't cost more than about 80K but I figure it will bring the value of my home up more than that.

@Betty I don't build them as a business but if someone were to ask I could build one for them. The one I have now took time as I was modifying an old mountain bike. I have two 20 AH batteries on it as well as headlights, tail lights, turn signals, brake lights a horn and small trailer. I get up to about 100 miles per charge depending on terrain.To charge those batteries from zero to full charge would cost about 25 cents....
