The banking system in this country was always defective until FDR signed the 1933 Banking act stopping the periodic crashes this country had been experiencing but the 1929 crash that helped him into office and to pass that legislation was caused by the excessive gambling in unregulated stocks and bonds on Wall Street People were buying stocks with 10% down and gambling they could make the other 90% in the market before the final call. Many stocks were basically shell corporations as well and fraudulent bonds were also commonly being traded.... I suggest you actually study the history of the matter before expressing an opinion because you look really stupid with that one... The sole reason we are having these crashes are the lack of effective regulation since Bush SR and Clinton fucked things up. Clinton was one of the worst when he signed the "Bank Modernization Act" that his wife helped co-author. Our other problem is also easily solved.... @glennlab I am a type 2 diabetic and try to avoid sugar as much as possible. I never have that problem with stevia and the only time you get an after taste is when you use too much. Since it has 400 times the sweetening power of sugar that is easy to do. I go through a 5 pound bag about every three years which works out to replacing about a pallet load of sugar in my diet because I sprinkle that shit on everything. I even have powdered molasses to make artificial brown sugar....

@MichelleGar1 My suggestion to you would be to sell now while prices are high and wait for the crash before buying again you might get a good enough deal to do better than break even but it depends where you move to and the housing market there. Don't forget to google the real estate, sales, and other tax rates before you commit to moving you might be in for some nasty surprises so states have not only state taxes but county and city taxes on top of high property taxes and I am not sure if city and county income taxes are deductible from your federal income taxes. Also keep in mind that since you will need a job it is important to make sure the minimum wage is high enough to live on most red states are still at the federal minimum of $7.25 an hour.

State taxes are deductible from federal income tax so CA does NOT pay more despite Republican propaganda. Property taxes here are way below the national average at .73% verses the national average of 1.07% while Texas has the 7th highest property tax in the country (1.69%) over twice the CA rate. Property taxes FYI are NOT deductible from your federal income tax meaning that Texans pay more in taxes than we do and get less back in the way of services... far less. I live in a not very energy efficient 100 year old home that I am gradually upgrading yet my electric bill last month was $130 and gas was a little over $2 (I am home all the time because I am disabled) city services (water, sewer, street lights, street sweeper, trash etc) costs me about $90 a month so I can't complain because my refi will be bringing my house payment down to $1233 a month PITI and right now I am getting estimates from real estate companies that I could sell this house for almost $400,000 which is considerably more than I owe on it. If I keep to my improvement schedule after the market crash I expect next year in 5 to 7 years this house should be worth even more than it is now and be extremely energy efficient all electric and with solar panels use less power than it produces.
