Is living together an acceptable alternative to marriage?
Crimson67 comments on Aug 19, 2018:
I find living together absolutely an acceptable alternative marriage. To answer all your questions... 1.If they decide together to live together it is the best for each other, why would marriage be "doing the best for each other"? 2. A legal document (marriage license) doesn't have much to ...
Marine replies on Aug 19, 2018:
You are lucky however the benefits of social security can be very large also healthcare and pansions.None of these apply when living together even common law marriages do not comply in some states. As for the many paying child support I would venture a guess that there are many more who do not pay anything. You are also paying to much confidence in power of atty as I have found out with my aunt . It has many limits that one would think are covered by the document.
Do you say under god inthe Pledge of Allegiance or just ignore these words when you recite it?
Donotbelieve comments on Aug 17, 2018:
I do not recite the pledge at all.
Marine replies on Aug 19, 2018:
@Donotbelieve I do not find anything in the pledge that is obsolete or silly rather I see parts of it like liberty and justice for all being attacked by many people because of race or the political position they hold and I do what I am able to rectify these wrongs.I served my country, vote at every election and contact many in congress to right these wrongs. These actions which speak louder than words alone far outweigh many who complain and do nothing.I see nothing wrong with your right to disagree However i see no cause in the Pledge of which you speak other than providing liberty and justice for all which i see you agree with. There are no past events in the pledge to revel in! I find the orange devil dispicable and work very hard to make sure he is not re-elected.As for me making a judgement my first statement asked why you would not say the pledge and there was no criticism there. My second comment merely stated a fact that many have died for that pledge which calls for liberty and justice for all. According to your statement you also believe in these and I just do not understand why you would refuse to state that in a pledge to your nation.

Recite it why? The pledge is a heavy-handed indoctrination tool. Notice it says "...to the flag and to the republic..." The flag, a mere symbol, takes top billing over the Republic? That is just garbage. If you love your country, you work to try to improve it. Slavishly reciting pledges is ...
Marine replies on Aug 19, 2018:
@MikeInBatonRouge I understand why they take a knee and cannot fault them for doing so.however I believe they could do more to clean up their environment by working with the police rather than fighting them.My family has three policemen in it who after a crime could not find one person who would offer any information about it. This was repeated so many times within their combined years of service72years that they were frustrated. Many crimes could have been solved within minutes instead of taking months, years and sometimes never.I agree that they are being targeted ,shot and killed many for no reason and this needs to be addressed but they also have shot and killed many police The poverty and crime must be addressed from within to be rid of it.Asians,Irish,Polish, Germans, Spanish have all had to fight for acceptance and I realise skin color plays makes a difference however my black and Spanish friends all agree with this assessment. They need to use the government to get their rights. If their housing is dirty they need to go after the landlord to correct whatever is wrong.

@JustLynnie We say it to remind ourselves of what we should be. Yes we have commited injustice and some still do but that does not mean you cannot take a stand and attempt to correct what wrongs were commited. This country with all its wrongs is still the best and we will get rid of the orange plague and his friends. Finally if you feel so strongly that the USA is so bad I would think you would immigrate.Using your method of qualifing I do not believe you could find anyplace without the same background.
