Just because "our" history was not taught in school does not mean we do not have one. I once worked with a guy who approached every woman who worked there berating them for not being able to site any woman inventors. He didn't believe me that Ms. Lamarr was a significant inventor, until I brought him some books from the library on women inventors.. He wasn't interested in knowledge. He was interested in berating women for his perceived inferiority. But I incurred his respect & as he was in charge of truck maintenance, he always kept my truck running & in good shape. Thanks for posting this Jack.

I think I might ruffle the pages. Take the end of the page & stick it into the binding part until it looks like a peacock. I recently recycled my bibble from a youthful foray into various religions as a study not as a convert. I did not like the smell of the bibble. Not a bad scent. I saw that also. Scolding the young bewildered soldier who so did not want to hurt her. She is one ballsy lady. The soldier was an inexperienced conscript, not special forces or other well trained soldiers, was surmised by an military analyst. "Put these sunflower seeds in your pocket. They will sprout in Ukraine where you die." Then she goes on to say" What are you doing here. Nobody asked you to come here. We don't want you here. Go home." A real dressing down.

@GreenAtheist Beg to differ. Many if not most homeless are mentally challenged by PTSD from war or serious mental disorders and cannot hold down a job. Then they are estranged by family support systems. So they are now living on the concrete, in the rain, in Lower Wacker Drive in Chicago. Camping under highway overpasses, culverts, in the richest country in the world where 55 companies paid no taxes but you & I did.There are few affordable living spaces in the urban areas as condos & ownership has replaced rentals, SROs, & other options. It is a crisis in LA, San Fransisco. Sanitary conditions are non existent. I sent my unused camping equipment to Tents For The Homeless & felt guilty somehow. As if I was contributing to the problem as some have eluded to on the ice fishing tents being supplied & not actually housing. We have no mental institutions for want of a better word. These fallen folks are in our prisons, hospitals, streets. Capitalism discards people without socialism to balance it.

He will show this big time at CPAC this weekend.

And yet this seems to be ok with 70+ million voters who feel that their power is being taken away by big government, when it is government in consortium with corporations who now fund candidates legally. I can not fathom how so many millions vote with this mindset. How can we see things so differently? Immigrants are not taking the jobs. Artiificial intelligence & automation is doing that with corporations not having to deal with an robot union. Then they say to me "I know what you are saying ,but I feel...." . So maybe more thinking & less feeling when one votes might be in order. "I ain;t votin' for no baby killer." I tried to explain what a zygot is. Got the same response. Tried to explain that the "soul" is a religious concept & we can not force those ideas on all women. " I know what you are saying, but I feel......" The polls say the MAGA fever is cooling. The last time we believed the polls, Hilary won the popular vote by 3 million. HELP!

The reason is that federal monies are no longer available for sheltering people afflicted with mental illness & other ailments.That is why we have this problem. SROs were destroyed in the 1980s to make way for condos, & people were denied federal money for housing by Raygun. Nothing has been done by any administration since. 40+ years.. B actor they called him. How are Americans duped so easily? Floride in the water, the Communist plot? Too much lead paint in their diet? High fructose corn syrup? DNA genetic damage from the fallout during the nuclear bomb testing from 1945-1964. Down winders all. More than Chernobyl. Why are we so collectively misled ? Not teaching history, geography. A failure to learn to think linear & logically.? That we are so manipulated by emotion is disturbing.

As the 1st person in my family to attend a university, I lament that I did not have a counselor like you back then. As programs such as this were in their formative stage, many of us were grapping with our futures. It was a tumultuous time as it always seems to be. Kudos to you all.

I fear that we are so war fatigued that Putin will succeed. So many of our involvements have been on the wrong side. Attempting to impose our will on other nations. Ethiopia, Philipines, Guatemala, Dominican Republic, Nicaragua, Chile, Vietnam.......This is different in my opinion in that this is a democratically elected government which needs to be defended against despots. Not an elected government overthrown by the CIA. If not now, when? Traditionally the USA has often upended democracy. Despotism is on the move & our democracies must stand in its way. I do not pretend to know the solution, but we have to stop the rise of tyranny. This would be a just cause. We would be on the right side this time.
