I recently found out that earth worms here in Wisconsin & Michigan in the US, are invaders. I was raised with compost so I love earth worms. Evidently I am not supposed to love them here. Some things one has to learn to live with. Earth worms are one of them. I can see the vernal equinox on the horizon & the sandhill cranes have arrived. 61 degrees forecast for Monday. I can't wait. Cabin fever. There is still snow on the ground.

Well I am not leaving until I find something better....& there is little better than a god free site. & if no one interacts with the loyal opposition, then the barbarians at the Capitol have won. There are plenty of Conservatives who did not drink the kool-aid. The Lincoln Project proved that. Even if I am talking to myself, it is a manner of relieving stress. I talk to myself anyway. I tell people I'm speaking to the dog.....cat, parrot, guinea pigs, chickens, squirrels, spiders. And I like the people that are here. I miss the ones that are not. Mostly. One left because he wanted to work on his house. Another quit his job & is motorcycling around the country. One I am sure passed. One person is from Jordan & said the site was illegal there. I find the other social media sites with atheist groups speak mostly about the cause. A lot more diverse here. And less shallow. Sort of filtering out the noise.

I sure do agree the site has evolved. I wish we could get a heads up before folks bail. To just disappear is unsettling. I still find the site less invasive than FB & others. I felt we had to give the administrator a chance & put up with the experimentation & the glitches. The thought that they were data collecting came to me & I was ridiculed. I am used to that. But others concurred. What site doesn't data collect. Obama built the largest government data storage site in history. Privacy was a great concept. I fear it is severely compromised. Not by this site but by everyday existence. Everything is data. Facial recognition. DNA swabs. GPS in my car whether I want it or not. The future is not mine.

I have the same complaint. However there are many different groups here who mention religion not. Some folks come here to purge themselves of the indoctrination, fear & to seek advice & perhaps find a partner. It is what you make of it. You have only a level 2 so you haven't explored that much. Under President Carter, functional folks in institutions with manageable mental challenges, were to be mainstreamed into the public. He lost to President Raygun who promptly rescinded support funds for this endeavor. Gone were the people who checked up on them. Gone was government support of pharmaceuticals that made functioning a possibility. Gone were the gov't supported funds for living quarters. The funds dried up & went to "space force" & the defense dept. Our homeless are a result of this dismantling of the social safety net as our veterans fall thru at a greater number than ever. Socialism takes care of this issue, but it has become an ugly word for some reason. Capitalism fails here as there is no incentive monetarily . The solution is to refund all of these programs that provided for those whom can not for themselves. But that again is socialism.
