So I'm going against the grain here but there is a reason for surveillance. My brother, who has been living in Taiwan for the past several years, commented that they have been able to track the spread, the virus because of having a national health system. They have been able to track everything because it is one system. You know who is where and why. They have only had 5 deaths. I understand they are much smaller but they shut everything down immediately, temps were taken all the time when you wanted to enter anywhere that had lots of people, masks were used by everyone. This is not a problem. He and his family have decided to stay in Taiwan for another year than move back to a country who doesn't truly understand what is going on.

There is some of that but I think it is more about the fact that he wants to look like a "genius" for buying up so much of it. People aren't able to get the medicine they need because he is hording millions of pills. I have a friend who was supposed to start a trial of it for her arthritis. She had tried it before but the side effects (yes there are side effects) were more than she could handle at the time. Now nothing else is working so she was supposed to try it again.
