Marriage does not equate to a good or bad relationship. It is something distinct and separate. I would never think anyone who didn't want to get married was a poor choice for a relationship. I was asked today if I thought I'd ever get remarried. I am not sure. I am willing to live in the same house with a partner. I am willing to donate my share to household expenses. I am willing to make them and any children they have heirs to my retirement and any assets that I might have. I am well aware that marriage give an added layer of protection to my partner. Wills and Beneficiary information can be contested by my family, unless I am married in which case they cannot. So perhaps from a protection stand point I will get married, but not likely from a I want to have a beautiful celebration, that celebration will be every day for the rest of my life. Maybe, if I am ecstatic enough about my new partner I will want to shout it from the rooftops and have a ceremony, but first let me find the partner before I make that kind of decision.

I found one that I liked, based on the web page and photos of the shop. It wasn't any in-depth research, I just wanted something that "felt" right. We talked on the phone about flowers. I knew her favorites so we had a long discussion about what would look good together. Yeah, they were extremely helpful. I had chosen a good florist too. In the end we settled on a color scheme and we started talking about pricing. Now, my plan was to surprise the woman with flowers, but I didn't want to just get an "Aww", I was going for "WOW!". Depends upon a lot of things. I do think we undervalue the creative abilities. When I lived in Italy almost anything you could want could be had at some place that would custom make it for you. Prices were cheaper there even for some of the custom stuff, because folks enjoyed working with their hands. Here everyone wants to buy shit off the shelf and if you ask for anything custom it becomes really high priced. Frames in Italy ran about $5-10 a linear foot. So a frame 3'x4' would be 14 feet and anywhere from $70-140 (in local currency obviously). The frames were low priced but then including the glass, the backing, possible matting, and the labor, the price increased to what I consider reasonable prices. Here the same frame will cost me twice that and the frame selection everywhere I have been, even local frame shops, has been decidedly smaller than what I could find in Italy. That said, I recently purchased a piece from am artist friend for $3500. So, another $250 - 300 on a frame isn't a big deal.

I have not found that to be true. I am a very sensual person and love the platonic touching but I haven't found many women rapey. Men can be very forward and sometimes rapey but I can't think of one woman who had been overly forward. Although, I do like it rough so what I might consider tame, others may feel to be too intense.

If a friend is considered a threat by my partner I take the following steps: 1. Evaluate my own behavior. Perhaps I am giving my friend more attention than I am my partner. Perhaps my partner isn't getting the amount of time with me that they expected. Perhaps I'm not being clear about my feelings for my partner. There are many reasons for jealousy so I need to be sure that I've been making my partner my priority. If that is all as it should be, then we move to step 2. 2. Evaluate my friend's behavior and the activities that we engage in when we get together. In my world it is possible to have sex with a friend while in a relationship. BDSM activities sometimes require nudity and can be very emotionally intimate. If my partner feels insecure about my involvement in these activities then they should stop. Perhaps temporarily or permanently depending on how my partner feels about them in the future. I will have a discussion with the friend if their behavior needs to change or our involvement activities bed to change. If all of that is as it should be, then we move on to step 3. 3. Have a serious discussion with my partner to discover what the root of their jealousy is. Perhaps there is something which is a trigger for my SO that I was unaware of. With that information I can modify my behavior to satisfy my partners need for security in our relationship. If there is still an issue after all of this, then I move on to step 4: get a new partner. That said, all of this assumes that the friendship pre existed the relationship. If I get a few friend that my partner feels threatened by i follow the same steps with the exception that step 4 is getting rid of the friend.

I just don't like to sleep mostly because FOMO. I have a messed up sleep schedule because of a flexible work schedule and really don't get the kind of sleep that I should.
