I have friends with whom I have a great FWB relationship. I am not sure any of them are right for a serious relationship but I wouldn't mind if any of them became serious. I think time might be the wrong measuring stick, some take longer and some move faster, just depends on how often you get together and how much time each date you spend talking about important feelings, hopes, and dreams. I am also communicating with multiple people here in hopes that one of those will turn into the "Right Person" to have a long term committed relationship. I do not have enough information to make that determination as of yet. I am going to say this. I can't think of a time when I dated someone for two weeks or less and felt like they were the right person. Usually that takes months to understand. Maybe I'm over thinking the question. Everyone that I have listed above I have enough information to determine that they are right for me to have a long term friendly relationship, otherwise I wouldn't have started talking to them in the first place. I certainly hope that one of them (yes I do have a favorite that I am rooting for, but I'm not telling that secret) is the right person to become my life long companion, however that level of long term committed relationship takes months to find out, not weeks.

When she got home and had finished dinner (she loved to cook) I would immediately put the game down and join her. There was no "five more minutes", she was more important than anything in the game. I don't time after dinner with her doing whatever she wanted until bed time. Instead of playing for a few hours after dinner and joining her in bed, I woke up early and played for a few hours before work. I still got to play as much as I used to but my wife also got what she wanted. All of that to say in an open relationship instead of a game you're dealing with two people and working out a solution that works for everyone. The reality is, the more relationships you have, the more work or requires to keep them healthy. Also to note it isn't a simple sum, it gets exponentially more difficult with each added relationship. Some people love that work and they really enjoy open relationships. Other people find it difficult enough to manage one.

Growing up I recall making an association. My mother would tell me "That's gross. Don't put that in your mouth, there's germs on it". I also understood that germs caused colds and sickness which is why my mother didn't want me to get them. I was on board, I didn't like being sick. I expanded that concept to include the passing of germs from one person to the other. I stopped wanting to share food. I didn't want whatever germs my siblings might have collected during the day. To this day I can't "share" food with anyone. If it's on my plate, it's mine, don't touch it. If it's on your plate, it's yours, I don't want it. If it's in a serving bowl that's communal and can be added to anyone's plate without concern. When I got older and started liking girls. Ok I've liked girls since kindergarten. First kiss was at 7 in second grade. Her name was Shelly. I digress. When I started dating as a teenager and kissing with tongue I realized that the food thing was kinda silly, but I would only make allowances for the one person I was currently kissing on a regular basis. Everyone else was still relegated to not eating my food. I was and still am a huge germ-a-phobe. Fast forward twenty years. I'm at a restaurant with a dozen of my friends. We're celebrating a birthday. The place serves little loaves of uncut bread, I suppose it's promoting the idea that you "break bread" when you eat. One of my friends rips off a piece and then holds it out to me "would you like some bread?". "No thanks. I'm good." I respond. Five minutes later more bread is delivered to the table. I reach over and take a fresh little loaf tearing off a piece for me. The guy sitting next to me stops and looks at me shocked. "Did you decline that bread earlier because she had touched it with her FINGERS?!?". "Yup" I nod, smiling sheepishly. Now he's like "Wait. Let me get this straight. You won't eat some bread because it touched a finger but you'll put your mouth in the holiest of holies and lick places I don't want to even think about licking?". "Yes" I said. "But this is food, that other stuff is for pleasure!" I confess: I am a germ-a-phobe. I won't eat anything which may have been contaminated by stranger saliva, but I frequently swap saliva with people I trust. I am hyper aware of when I'm coming down with something and quarantine myself to not infect anyone else. I am respectfully fearful of STDs and will avoid risky behavior with people that I do not know well. I practice safe sex always. However, once I get to know you and have confirmed that a person is safe, gets screened frequently, and doesn't participate in risky activities. I will use my mouth to make you feel good no matter how sweaty, dirty, sloppy, or taboo! But you better not steal a single fry from my plate.

I find that sex workers of any type are wonderful people and should not be shamed for what they do nor should those who avail themselves of such services be shamed. I personally have never used them, but one time in Vegas I was almost tempted... I was walking about exploring at 2am or some other ridiculous hour of the morning while the casinos were mostly empty. As I congratulated myself on the success of my subterfuge I turned my head around to get a good look at her ass, I needed to see how that looked in the stunning dress she was wearing. BUSTED! She looked back too. I was so embarrassed but I just kept walking. 2 minutes later I had arrived in a large room filled with slots and no other exit on the other side. I tried to play it cool and smile while we passed but she stopped to talk to me. My heart skipped a beat. This beautiful woman was going to spend time with me. I was in heaven. Knowing what I know now, her highly trained skills in noticing men notice her were no match for my amateur skills in subtlety. We talked for a minute and decided to get a drink in a bar she knew to be open at that hour. I bought her a drink and we chatted for a few minutes. Welcome! Yes I have some tips. This website is designed to reward participation. In order to do that I would browse the groups. There are some filters and I think you can search for things that interest you to see if any groups exist about that interest: Food, Movies, Flirting, Weed, Singles, etc. Join all the groups that you like. Comment on the ones that move you and also the ones that don't. You get points for each post or activity that you do here. Even if your comment is simple like "Great article" or "Nicely worded" that is participation. Feel free to express yourself on those posts that resonate with you. I have found that being myself and posting honest and heart felt messages has worked for me.

Sometimes jealousy is a planned event aimed at manipulation. It is also a natural response when dealing with people that you love. It is not controllable and there is no way to know when it will present itself or what may trigger it. I am normally not a jealous person, but on occasion I find that I do get jealous. I have had people that I am dating get jealous as well. The key is to speak up when those feelings occur and talk about them with the partner who you feel jealousy towards. It is easy to work through them and find the cause of what triggered the feeling. Maybe you felt that you needed the partner but they had a prior commitment so you instantly became jealous of the "bowling night" because you felt that it was competing with you for attention and was winning. Then after you understand why, you can both work towards a compromise which will alleviate the problem in the future: Maybe you need to have a signal (reverse safe-word...I love it) to indicate when you are having a bad day and really need your partner to stop and take time for you.

I think everyone involved in the date have a responsibility to make their intentions, desires, and objections known to the rest of the participants. The green light for having sex on the first date should be given by BOTH people or sex should not happen. You are making the assumption that men are always ready to have sex on the first date and woman are always the ones who want to wait. That can't be farther from the truth! I live in a hyper-sexualized world with one of my circles of friends. There are times when I do have sex with someone I just met and it is almost always a wonderful time. However, people that I am interested in romatically (read not just sex and/or FWB) then I NEVER have sex on the first date. I feel that I need to set expectations and boundaries. I feel that jumping too soon into that type of activity, because of the intensity of the feelings associated with it, overshadows everything else that happened on that date and takes the relationship away from the deep connection that I was aiming for.
