Then they'll test for water and temp. Only in domes that get above 0º c and some humidity will they introduce plankton or other possible photosynthetic organisms. Then they'll watch that for progress. If no domes produce any plant life. The experiment is over. If some/a few domes produce growth then they'll introduce plant eaters. Insects First. Then larger. Almost all human-eaten fruits are said to have gone through a "co-evolution"...in other words...we evolved a taste for certain fruits...which we then "cultivated". Johnny Appleseed is a famous example - But if you google "Co-evolution" you see that birds, bees - almost any animal that ate a fruit or vegetable - helped in its' evolution. Mimicry (illustrated below) is a form of Co-evolution. (yes...despite the attacks on Wikipedia...I recommend it.). It's also well known that we humans learned to create "cultivars" If you saw the versions of corn and watermelon from even a few decades ago you'd be astonished.
