Orange (Beta Carotene) dyes in foods are good for you....and both carrots and sweet potatoes are root-foods...as is a regular potato. White potatoes give you substantial carbs (starch) - so - if you combine the two it's like eating s sweet potato - nutritionally speaking. But Carrots lend themselves to juicing....sweet potatoes not so much. White potatoes need butter and spices to create a "taste" because they are otherwise bland...but I see where you're going with the argument. I won't try to change your mind.

@kmaz -The fact is that there's probably millions of civilizations out there...in our galaxy alone...it's just that we're too far apart to even bother trying to chat. Our radio signals got strong enough to leave the atmosphere around 100 years ago. There's only 10 or 11 star/planetary systems within 100 light years of us. The closest one is 4.3 light years away; so assuming there's a rocky planet in the "godilocks" zone (not too close nor too far to have liquid water and thus a chance for life) then there's a likelihood that life might exist on a planet in that nearby world. There's actually a few within 100 light years that might have that ideal situation. Now assuming they evolved at the same rate we did (not likely) so they, too started sending radio waves out around 100 years ago....it would take 8.6 years for one round trip message to them. Since we haven't received any radio signals from any intelligent sources -yet...we can assume that there's no civilization with radio broadcast abilities on that - or any other - planet within 100 light years. Will we ever develop a way to fly faster than light? I doubt it...but I doubt it like I doubt the existence of a "god". I think it's just Not likely. That's why we're here...on Agnostic.com. So eventually... I do think we will detect an intelligent radio or TV signal some day...when we see a "Howdy Doody" TV show from a planet 50-60-70 light years away - it'll take that long - 50-60-70 years...to say "hello" to them. Get the point? It's going to be challenging carrying on a conversation. Oh...and when - not if, when... we get that intelligent radio signal...who's to say that they're not already extinct? The date is misleading....Cooke starts by saying "I'm watching a film made by the Japanese on that fine, hot day in Japan 25 years ago"....so I'm guessing the date should be 1969.
