The knives are a personal matter, IMO. Knives can be heavy or light. Beautiful handles or boring. The steel used doesn't seem to matter much; I find "Henkels" knives overpriced. Give "induction" cooktops a try. You can buy a small "induction" cooktop for a single pot for less than $100. They're faster than gas. They don't get dangerously hot (they are basically tiny spinning magnets that heat up any steel or iron pan/pot) The down side is you can't use any aluminum cookware. I'm buying a third induction cooktop/oven combo for a Condo I just purchased as a vacation rental in Ft Pierce Florida.

Up to 5 foot 6 inches for 60 + years. Actually might be shrinking...I'm told. Let me be less "Flippant" to the Llama lady and my agnostic friends... It's a good day! Cloudy, warm not raining (yet...but overcast)...waiting to hear from the furniture guy about picking up the oven and frige in the new Condo I bought. Will then order an Induction cooktop/oven and side-by-side refrigerator ice and water through the door. Getting excited about "fixing up" the place; the fellow who will "remove the Popcorn ceiling" and putting in ceiling fans is scheduled for Monday. Did 4 miles of biking in a half-hour...good workout. If anyone would like a nice place to stay for a week/month at a time; the Condo I bought will be ready to rent as of July 1. Basic costs will be $90 a night; week minimum stay, 85 a night if you do 30 days/month stay. Prices go up $10 bucks a night in November. It's a 2/1.5 townhouse (attached to other buildings on one side). It's inside a gated community, and right on a 9 hole walk-only golf course.. and the place comes well equipped; everything from a set of clubs to fishing poles, gear, and tennis rackets. Search Beet-salad stack (see image) for a great recipe for beets; but to get to this stage they need to be cooked first - boiled a awhile....then soaked in sugar. Kale is boring...but a decent "green" for stir frying. it's a rough-textured leaf that's better cooked. You'll see them compete for space...take out the slower/smaller ones or they'll all be small. He's where conspiracy theories were born. Sad. Point taken; but you're also talking in generalizations....which leads to prejudice. Let's face it...there's a whole spectrum of "woke" and "sleep-walking/zombies" out there. As a 45 year teacher....you keep pushing the same motivational approach knowing that you won't reach many...but you do reach a few. They won't stand up and applaud. Customer reviews 4.7 out of 5 stars 4.7 out of 5 34,047 customer ratings 5 star 87% 4 star 5% 3 star 1% 2 star 1% 1 star 6% I recall going through a similar false rating thing when I went to the Red Hen restaurant in Virginia right after Trump's spokesperson (I forget her name) got asked to leave...and sure enough....there were dozens of alleged "reviews" of the restaurant that were awful...but you could see they were fake. 87% of34,047 is 29,620 - that's how many ranked it at 5 stars. 6%- the 1 star rating is 2,042 - and as you pointed out " a lot of people that made reviews in the 1 star portion probably never read one word out of that book."

I'm constantly getting caught up in the absurdity of E.T. and the likelihood of space travel. Not many comprehend what a light year is - much less comprehend what an incredibly far distance it is...or that radio waves...traveling at light speed...are still our best hope for communicating with E.T.'s...if in fact they're out there....if in fact they're listening....if in fact they're bothering to send us messages. A movie that comes closest to reality (of the relatively useless/worthless trivia about communication with aliens) is Carl Sagan's Opus - his last book (subsequently made in to a movie) before he died....called "Contact". This lockdown/quarantine is, indeed, like retirement. And I concur; unless you work at it your body does fall apart. Your gut grows and you legs get thin. Your skin sags, and your chin gets loose and ugly. You get loose and ugly. So deal graciously with it. Or cry and complain...which will probably speed up your demise. It's inevitable. Face it positively. Fight the aging with workouts and a stricter diet - but only if you want to extend your time. If you bitch - chances are good you'll also shorten your time. So quit your bitchin'.
