One of the best features of A.com's blocking - IMO - is the timing tool....that you can block from a day until forever. The wisest admit that sometimes the obnoxious and inconsistent still need to be heard...so I for one rarely block anyone "forever"...it's been a while since I've even checked...but I seem to recall not having blocked anyone indefinitely. Good system.

When I took the "rich homes on the water" tour in. Ft Lauderdale...I came to a shocking realization; those rich folk were more stressed out...more just "not well" or "not happy" people than you ordinary folk. Lots of "smokers". Lots of people "embarrassed" that "ordinary folk" were touring to "look at them". I came to the realization that being rich is the result of an "addiction" to greed - and those "addicts" were not happy people. Now greed isn't a bad addiction. Nothing to snort, smoke, nor shoot. Clever greed addicts don't even have to use their own money. Your family loves the greed addiction, but fear/loath the drug addiction. But it is an addiction. You do suffer "withdrawal symptoms" if you're suddenly "without" your fix of cash flow. So I've learned not to count to a billion, nor envy billionaires...or even millionaires. They're suffering.

I'm on the beach at Ft. Pierce and would gladly help you find local accommodations in the area if you're interested. I love travelling north...I've driven up to NY from S. Florida nearly every year since 2013 (when I got my first Tesla and had free Supercharging up and back). You are putting out a lot of mixed signals...like you don't want to date...but you do. You sound afraid of "exposing" yourself to the public. But that's the only way you're going to avoid ghosting. Put yourself out there. Post lots of pics. Be honest and open....talk about your good and not-so-good features. That way you'll be contacted by those who aren't in a hurry to meet. You're sharing who you are with images and a detailed bio....so this will allow more selectivity. Say that you insist on taking your time. Warn potentials that "being in a hurry is a turn-off" - then you'll get the patient fellas/gals/dates who like you for the images and bio you post. Otherwise with few/no images. and a cranky bio...then of course potentials will want to get to know you right away to see if you're a waste of time...or not... ...and these are just the types you don't want...right?

Good question! It's both a noun and an adjective; not to mention the name of a famous group and magazine! Historically to be a "free-thinker" (adjective) implied you were unencumbered by "religion"...you were "free to think" about creation, gods or no gods, an afterlife or not...etc. To be in the "Free Thnker/Freethought" society/group was to imply that you just weren't religious. It was a safer "adjective" and or "noun" (group name) to be in - in the very religiously dominated past. Scientists - those demanding evidence, proof, and a process of studying things...quickly adhered to the strategy. It was the name given to the organization or group of Agnostics and Atheists in England nearly 140 years ago. It's also a title to the longest continually running publication...ever....in the whole world...The FreeThinker. The Freethinker was a British secular humanist magazine, founded by G.W. We are panicking, people. Even the common cold is a type of Coronavirus. What are coronaviruses? Coronaviruses are a large family of viruses that can infect humans or animals. Sometimes an animal coronavirus can change so that it can infect people and become a human coronavirus. There are seven known types of human coronaviruses. Four types (229E, NL63, OC43, and KHU1) are common and cause mild to moderate respiratory infections, like the common cold. This is a tough one. I know my/our metabolism slows as we age...and the number of food choices continue to grow - so we civilized folk will gain weight with age. A few months ago; BK only had the "Impossible" burger (VERY good meat imitation) for a rediculous price - now's it's down to very competitive - for example. My rule; feel hunger a couple times a day - especially at night. Works for me... When you're up before dawn for 45 years (of teaching) you either become a "morning" person or you end up finding another career that doesn't require you to be at work at 7 AM or so. That's the plight of most schools...start early....end early. Not your "9 to 5" schedule at all. So 8 years after I had retired (in 2012) I'm still an up before dawn person.

In my household, I do most of the cooking.

It's been a bone of contention between me and the on-again-off-again lady friend. She accuses me of being too messy - I think she's a bit messy and disorganized herself. She likes low/no salt - I'm a salty-seasoner. And on, and on. It's a real issue with her...so I'm glad I'm 120 miles away.

Xenophobianism. = wo why not categorized crimes that are ruled to be motivated simply by hate? The better we get to know the motivation of the criminal, the faster we can reduce the crime rate.

Global warming is at an unprecedented pace...not seen for hundreds of thousands of years according to ice-core records. Warmer air = warmer seas = expanded seas (anything heated expands) = melting ice = sea level rise...and the graph isn't a straight line...it's a parabolic curve. That means every day our temp rise/sea level rise not only increases...but it's rate of increase increases. Most beaches world wide can be gone in as short as a few decades if we don't act soon. Great cinematography! But I'm saddened to see such a beautiful wide beach. It's future is in doubt. The wider the beach...the more slowly the evolution of sea level change in that area. Rocky shores show relatively "fresh" (shorter) evolution of declining seas - or even encroaching (sea level gaining) shorelines. Being active has its' value. The most common factor that seems to exist with aging is slowing down. We tire sooner, easier, faster. Yet we also complain if we put on weight. I love my "volunteering" for the simple reason it prolongs my life. I can eat the same as a usual day and lose weight....or at least not gain it. I sleep better. I feel a thorough "tiredness" after doing something active, vs not feeling that "exhausted" feeling on an inactive day. So I get the message. And I hope my fellow agnostics do to. Thanks for sharing this, @Fernapple!
