I alternate between fresh ground Arabica and Hazelnut (pre-packaged ground) - and I have to have half decaf. I can't handle straight caffeine, 4 cups....I get too wired...and suffer a high - then crash later in the afternoon. I used to do sugar; but a few years ago found the "high" was partially a "sugar-shock" phenomenon...so I switched to Splenda/sucralose. I rarely do milk, and even more rarely a liquid half-and-half...I prefer the powdered creamers. My glass carafe is so damned efficient that if I sip it straight I burn my tongue; so I also temper the first cup with a few ice cubes.

As a 45 year retired teacher, I don't ascribe to the notion that "tests and assessments are not useful if they rely mostly on the recall of facts." I look at any school, any educational program as a mental training tool or service. Schools are mental gymnasiums. Teachers are coaches. The work there may seem irrelevant; but someday you'll see why we do what we do. When I hear arguments like "recall tests are useless" or "I'll never use ____(fill in the blank) in real life" I say to them... "You're in a mental gymnasium. I'm your coach. If you want to get (mentally) stronger, tougher, follow and do what I ask you to do. " I look at "recall tests" like push-ups/sit-ups for your mind....no-one makes money doing them; but everyone gets healthier and lives longer if they do them regularly. I remember adopting their style to my style...Organized notebook; 9th grade. Sense of humor 10th grade. Serious, soft, gentle, clear explanations, 11th grade....and a combination of all the above for the senior year just set me off, full sail, to become a teacher...now retired after 45 years.

I've been saying this for years; legalizing it will - -make the dose known, and consistent. -remove impurities/toxins/weed-killers/nausea-agents accidentally or intentionally put in some cannabis. -make legitimate careers in growing, packaging, distributing for tens of thousands, if not millions. -put the cartels out of business. -provide millions, and eventually billions of tax income. -put government enforcement out of business (a major reason politicians like to keep it illegal) -reduce user-only infractions/inmate prison populations. (another reason politicians like the illegal status). -reduce mistaken deaths/strokes/heart attacks....overdose victims (yes; they exist) can seek medical help with no fear of retribution. -reduce lung damage from smoking (once edible doses are regulated, the high type and time will be well documented - no need to inflict smoke damage on delicate lung tissue. -welcome self-cultivation and "home grown" pot...along with nursery and seed businesses! Is there a lot of waste? Yes. Does "capitalism (i.e competitive sales) often demand "waste"? No doubt. Have people sued for buying "discounted/out of date" food? Yes. It's a tricky situation out there. The hunger factor has been steadily declining over the years, and the population, while still growing at an absurd rate, has this growth rate slowing - it's predicted to reach ZPG in a few decades. Push family planning. Push composting. Push conservation. Talk to managers who you know discard fresh produce; they'll work with you if you put in the legwork to find suitable donor recipients that promise not to "sue" for old/outdated food ( The American Legion in Ft. I sincerely hope that some Republicans get their s...t together and start realizing that following DJT is not only unwise, it's obviously devastating to Republican principles. I started out an "Eisenhower" Republican....and yes...I voted for Nixon....but then I woke up (about the same time I became Agnostic).
