My line of reasoning is I have an addiction to sweets, like alcoholism, and thus need to stop completely. Like alcohol, one can live without it. Obviously one can't live without food entirely. I feel it is no more drastic than becoming a vegetarian. Of course, tried this before. I do well when being held accountable
