I'm originally from California, I came to Tucson 12 years ago to recover after I was the passenger in a Motorcycle accident. I survived a Traumatic Brain Injury.
It killed my career and turned my life upside down. And it sealed my Atheism. Because I knew that if I'd laid there in Laguna Canyon in gods hands...I'd be dead.

Even though I was raised by a very religious evangelical family, I honestly think at age ten I didn't believe it. I wasn't buying Noah's Ark or the Adam and Eve story. I was aware that everything I was being taught in church completely contradicted the world around me. Then I found Santa's hidden Christmas presents in my moms closet. I remember thinking about space and animals and god and santa and wondering what was real.
