In this case, I define valuable based on how much I had spent on the cards over the years and the monetary value of some of them now, and I have roughly sixty or so that are worth $20.00-80.00 for each card. Not bad considering I had only spent under $30.00. Sorry to hear about that house fire, but sounds like you made a good choice to sell your Star Wars collection when you did. Most likely what I'll eventually do myself, sell the remaining Star Wars stuff I have.

That's not my point. The point is, we should never take at face value what someone says until there is enough evidence to support any claims. The mere fact that I have to bring this topic up to fellow atheists is... very concerning. Like I said, these days far too many people fall back on emotions first and think later on if at all. Over the years I've heard too many examples of people who had their lives ruined over false accusations, and I personally couldn't begin to imagine how horrible that must be to the individual on the receiving end of the accusation...

She had nothing good to say about gun owners or libertarians, so I just blocked and banned her from my groups so she would not have to see any of the posts from said groups, but somehow she must have found a way around the blocking as I see her name often show up on my posts, and the timing is rather creepy. Quite a few on here have me blocked, and last time I checked I was banned from seventeen groups, doesn't bother me one bit and nor do I automatically think those who chose to block/ban me are snowflakes. I more or less use the blocking as a filter, the public threads filter doesn't always work for some reason, so if someone does multiple posts in a row on topics I have no interest in then I usually block so as to not waste my monthly speed data. Our buddies TheInterlooper and Lancer have Libertarian views. Both extremes concern me. The LP appeals to me as they support my core conservative values (free speech, gun rights, free markets, and less government involvement just to name a few), while acknowledging some of the decent points the left has to offer (keep religion out of politics, equal rights for all, abortion rights for women).

I'm not concerned about the liberals per se, my concern is with the progressives on the left who are fueled by political correctness. The fighting and arguing among both extremes is slowly tearing this country apart, and knowing such is what concerns me. I understand your voting situation there, and the Libertarian Party is working to become a more well known name in politics, time will tell for sure on that though.

@kenriley One of the reasons why I stay registered Independent, the Republican Party has long been overrun by religious zealots. Newt's assumption was incorrect, I don't for one minute believe my rights come from a god being, and I also don't believe my rights come from government or lawyers either. How familiar are you with Libertarian philosophy, Ken? Both extremes concern me as well, and I don't think there will ever be peace in this country if we all can't find some common ground, and I think the Libertarians hold the key to balance. The core of my conservative views are also shared by the Libertarians, and they also promote views that those on the left would support, the social based issues like same sex marriage/pro choice-abortion rights/equal rights for all no racism tolerated etc. Best of all, the Libertarians believe in keeping religion out of politics.
