MikeFlora comments on May 21, 2018:
I didn't know any body else was here. I'll say something about being civil or dropping out. I don't come here or the other groups I visit to start anything. I do it to stay informed, I can't debate you effectively if I don't know what you think about things. I think we have come to a understanding ...
SpikeTalon replies on May 21, 2018:
That sounds reasonable. I was off and on this site alot today, and noticed you were not, so I'll believe you when you say you weren't aware of the four members that joined here. Thank you ahead of time for saying something to them, in doing so could prevent unnecessary conflict. I understand the debating part, it's just that I think if someone is that interested in certain group posts that individual should just join said group and get it over with. Regarding the staying informed part, provided you do adequate research on your particular stance, it's not really necessary to know in advance my views or any group member views here, sometimes just asking honest questions is the best route to take. I'm not for arguing, life is complicated enough unto itself, but I certainly don't mind debating on point of views. I'm a reasonable man, so long as the other side is reasonable too. Lastly, I would suggest sticking to either commenting on any of my posts or starting your own post, as in doing so would give the other group members the option of interacting with you or not, plus I'm sure you'll be around one of the times when the live chatroom is open.

If you exit the chatroom and quickly enter again, you were able to see comments from those who you had blocked. SpikeTalon replies on May 20, 2018:
@Marine Never said that, at least a few teachers should be armed, or perhaps add more resource officers. If it is ever proven that a parent was negligent and allowed their child easy access to a firearm that said child turned around and committed a crime with, that parent would face criminal charges. Your first point already happens if parent(s) of child shooter is found guilty in court, your second point is absurd and not even relevant.

SpikeTalon replies on May 20, 2018:
@2askjoe Could you imagine how much worse off we'd be if we had less guns in the hands of private citizens? How many more murders, rapes, and other violent crimes would have occured? Regarding your last question, that was not the NRA's choice to prohibit their members from bringing their weapons, but a decision made at the federal level, and a good majority of the American adult population already knows and fully understands why so. Now, I have a question for you- why do people like you think making public schools gun free zones solves the problem? Please don't tell me any of that nonsense about banning bump stocks and high capacity magazines etc, and those in favor of more gun control are also against even a few teachers being armed. You do realize that so far no measure enacted by the liberal left has done anything to solve the problem with violence in schools, and making them gun free zones surely doesn't help our children any. It's time to stop blaming the NRA and place the blame where it belongs, on those who did the shootings. Disarming people only creates a society of victims, as criminals and deranged folks do not obey the laws. I can only wonder how different Friday's shooting would have turned out if even a few teachers were armed with a six round revolver, a good probability of minimizing the fatalities.
How are we defining "conservative atheists?

Look at the city of Chicago, that city has some of the strictest gun control measures in ...
SpikeTalon replies on May 19, 2018:
@Kojaksmom There were guns present at the NRA convention, armed guards were present, and same is true with federal buildings they too are protected by people with guns. Guns are not like snakes, because snakes are animate creatures that could react on their own, guns need a human being to operate them. Who in the hell said guns were the equivalent to gods? None of us gun owners worship any firearms. If your not comfortable around them, good for you, I refuse to be uncomfortable around any inanimate object. If some people could go through intense gun training, that means teachers could do the same as well, and to suggest anything else is a cop out. A gun free zone just got more people killed yesterday, having unarmed teachers didn't accomplish anything.

I do the same thing, I rely on a notebook to store credentials. I'm on Android as well, and I could recommend an app called Passkeep, and I think the developers name was something like Gareth Williams. I like that one because it does not have any internet permission, no need for a password manager to connect to the net in my opinion.

Not really, it's a horrible time of the year for me, I'd rather not go into details.

@GeorgeRocheleau Can't say I blame you there.

@MikeFlora I see, so I suppose that means you'll be keeping an eye on us here as well? I know you haven't bothered anyone since you left the other group, but I still find it mildly humorous that you are still lurking about. I know we have opposing views, but I still try to stay civil in debates so long as nobody is hurling insults my way that is. I'll be hanging around the Senate group, if your preference is neutral territory, although you already know my plans for here. Regarding your last comment, the larger focus (to me anyway) is standing up for our gun rights, as gun control measures have failed and in turn caused more fatalities. Having less guns is not the answer either.
Oh 2018 what a shit time to be an American.

Looking from outside the USA, you certainly seem to have hit a new low with the current despicable President and his policies and attitudes, on top of your previous problems. Maybe that means that post-Trump, the only way is up? You seem to be concerned particularly about environmental issues. ...
SpikeTalon replies on May 18, 2018:
Believe me, the President we had before Trump was far worse, it's just that he was better able to conceal his true self from the public than Trump is.

I've never dealt with unsatisfying relationships before, but then again most of them were relatively short (wanted it that way) and for the past few years I haven't been active on the dating scene. I think YouTube might have some videos on what you are looking for.

How off putting is it to learn someone has kids?
SpikeTalon comments on May 16, 2018:
Under most circumstances no, but an exception could be made if the kids are grown up. I refuse to raise (be a surrogate father to) another man's offspring.

@Bignate901 That sounds reasonable, so long as that's what you want in life, live your life as you so desire. I also say live and let live as well...

I'd like to tinker around with the live chat function as it is new, and the more we use it the more feedback we could give to suggest in making it better. Participation isn't an issue, it's a matter of having it available for those who would like to use it. Regarding Discord, I experimented with that app awhile back and did not care for it much. Also, I had already extended an invitation to quite a few of my fellow conservatives on here to join me in starting a group on another platform, and you know what one I am referring to, I don't want to say the name publicly as I don't want the liberals here to possibly follow me to the other site.

SpikeTalon replies on May 17, 2018:
The latter of the two things you mentioned above I agree with and do, the former is another story... I can't honestly say I've lived a life of minimal impact. In fact, through the years I've had considerable impact, from being extremely clumsy in my youth and often times walking/crashing into people or objects from experiencing significant impact when I was in karate class (I found kumite to be painful at times but fun all the same). To this day I still lead a life of moderate impact, especially at night when things are dark I tend to leave an impact (crashes into the nightstand). I hope you are okay with the impact I have left behind over the years, and I sincerely hope this comment positively impacts everyone who may come across it. ;)
