It's more than just can openers. My cat absolutely loves Babybel miniature cheeses, both Gouda and White Cheddar. He can be completely sound asleep, but if I start to unwrap one of the cheeses, he can hear the tiny sound the cheese wrapping makes when you're opening it, and will come running. Since I got him, I have never had a complete piece of that cheese. I always have to share with the cat.

I have said this for years. It first dawned on me at the Oklahoma City Zoo. I was watching a black leopard, and he was playing with some kind of plastic thing just beside his cage. He was doing exactly the same thing that my cat at home would do when he was playing. The only difference between the leopard and my cat was size. They were both hard wired exactly the same.

I think Pelosi and company are going to get a rude shock come November. At least I sure hope so. But even in the Obama years, which were some of the worst for gun owners, a very large number of states instituted concealed carry laws. The pro-gun side has been making progress over the years. Crash, the resident cat at Simply Cats in Boise, among his other tricks, will ring a bell. A couple of years ago, Crash was hit by a car, which broke two of his four legs and broke his jaw and wiped out an eye. Just after this happened, the Director of Simply Cats was driving by and stopped. She though Crash was dead and was going to move him off the road, and when she touched him, he moved. So she grabbed him and put him in her car, and took him to a Veterinary Hospital. He eventually did heal up, and is now the resident cat at Simply Cats. He is the only cat there that is not up for adoption. He will be there until he dies. And he knows he's special. He has also learned an incredible amount of tricks that he likes to show off for visitors. I'll go to the Simply Cats website and see if I can't find a picture of Crash to post here.

Not the cat so much, but the title reminds me of our now departed Punkin cat. She was feral to begin with, a tortoiseshell, and a VERY good bird hunter. She could literally disappear on a completely bare mowed yard when she was in hunt mode. When she was pregnant, she must have eaten a couple hundred birds. My wife felt bad about that, because she liked birds, so we put the bird feeder up way off the ground, and Punkin would jump about 6 or 8 feet in the air to catch birds.

We seem to have a lot of interesting coincidences in our lives. My wife's birthday was March 19. She died two years ago to the day. April 26, 2018. We were together for 25 years. You're right, the single world sucks. I was 47 when my wife and I got together, so there are some women out there when you're in your 40's. I'm now 75, and the women who are available all look like my grandmother. Maybe that's a little shallow on my part, but I would like to find a lady I'm attracted to at least a little bit. Also, most of the available women in Boise are 95% religious nuts. And the 5% who aren't religious are Liberals. So I've sort of resigned myself to being single. Have any of you seen the You Tube videos of Messi the Cougar/Puma? Some guy in Russia bought a cougar and keeps it in his house. The cat is incredubly tame, and although he looks just like a wild cougar, he is incredibly tame and acts just like a big house cat. Cuddles with his owner and sleeps on the bed. Take a look at some of the videos. The guy who owns the cougar has posted a bunch of them on You Tube. Look for them under the word "Messi". That's the cat's name, taken from some Russian soccer star.

Speaking of impulse buys, I did it the other day. Not about a Taurus G2C, though. I was looking at the J&G Sales website to get some Eley Target .22 LR ammo, and after I ordered that, I looked at the guns they had for sale. Shouldn't have done that. They had some Star BM 9mm single action semi auto pistols for sale for $179.00 (that's not a typo) That's the lowest price I've seen for any gun for several years, and the BM's are actually fairly nice guns. So i bought one, even though I don't really need it. The price was just too good to pass up, and I probably can use it for a class gun when teaching someone how to shoot a semi auto.

If you take away guns, people will use baseball bats, knives, acid (readily available at the grocery store), and any machinist worth beans can make a gun out of a block of metal in a few hours.
