I have been an atheist for a couple of decades, after a mainstream protestant childhood and a steady evolution through agnosticism. Now in my 50's, I have three grown children and have been widowed almost a year. I play music, and love to read and watch movies. I live in a conservative area full of superstitious folks and, while I am not militant about the subject, I would like to have more friends who view religion in the same light I do. That's why I came back to this site after a couple of years away.
