A Selfish Argument for Making the World a Better Place – Egoistic Altruism... [youtube.com]
ErichZannIII comments on Mar 18, 2018:
I read a very egotistical psychology article about why rich people donate to charities. It basically details that those with means support the poor and donate to charities to make themselves feel good and to stroke their own egos. Honestly, I don't necessarily disagree.

Sticks48 replies on Mar 18, 2018:
@jorj He actually said they were checking into something and said they found nothing a few days later. We know Trumps a crook. He doesn't pay his bills ( technically that is stealing ), declares bankruptcy so he doesn't have to pay back bank loans, which is why he can't get a bank in the U.S. to finance his business deals and he got elected to the Presidency. So I think she'll be OK. After Muller gets through with him he won't be OK. :)

Mrs. Ghandi took over the press in India, and Trump just named a woman who oversaw our program using torture to be head of the CIA. Men have done a lot of bad things, but so have women. Check the congressional record a d see how many women voted for the same bad cramp the men did. Men are not less human than women. If you think you are better than men you are no different than the men who feel the same about women. By the way, crack open a book and learn a little history. :)

Think of the big G word greed. Your post reminds me of how the people on Star Trek the next generation are and wealth is never an issue.
Sticks48 replies on Mar 14, 2018:
Of course they never explained how that worked.
Do you talk 'gibberish' to your pet?
Sticks48 comments on Mar 14, 2018:
Yes I do, and if you see my replies you know I write in gibberish. I didn't even take it in school. I just sort of picked it up along the way.

What's the best live performance you've ever seen?
Akfishlady comments on Mar 13, 2018:
That is a tough one, but I am going to say either Keb Mo or Koko Taylor. But also the Tedeschi Trucks Band and Thievery Corportation. All music.
Sticks48 replies on Mar 14, 2018:
@Akfishlady An incredibly charismatic man.
I apparently am not able to do polls yet.

Libertarian. Minimum government, maximum freedom. Your right to take a swing at me ends at the tip of my nose. Legalize freedom! Live your life as you choose, so long as you do not forcibly interfere with my right to same. Oh, and of course, taxation is theft.

Are you going to build you're own highways, bridges, and sewers? If you don't have systems in place including regulations, what will stop another depression. You seem to think big business will not fuck you in a heartbeat. What about the poor? You can't have Capitalism and not have poor people. The more poor people, the more you drag society down. If you like the idea go to Mexico and check it out. With the wage gap we have that is where we are headed We will have a few rich people, a very small middle class, and a huge class of low income and poor people.You can't have a small government in a country over 350,000 people. More efficient yes, small no.
With or without music during sex?
SonderOpia comments on Mar 14, 2018:
I can do it with music I can do it without music as long as I'm doing it.
Sticks48 replies on Mar 14, 2018:
I like your attitude. :)

Were You Raised In A Single Parent Home Or 2 Parent Home
Sticks48 comments on Mar 13, 2018:
Parents divorced when I was 7. Raised by both parents and my father's parents. All fine people who influenced the way I look at the world in ways I didn't realize till I was in my 40's. I miss them every day.
Sticks48 replies on Mar 13, 2018:
@twshield They never talked bad about each other or used us as pawns. It can be done in a way that is easier on the kids if they make it a priority.

Sticks48 replies on Mar 13, 2018:
@atheist lol
If you are a conservative, do consider insulting the president a personal attack on you?
Sticks48 comments on Mar 13, 2018:
Don't you think people take it as an attack on their choice?
Sticks48 replies on Mar 13, 2018:
@Crimson67 Exactly!
Ever been 'double crossed' by a friend?
Sticks48 comments on Mar 13, 2018:
Yes, a good friend at that. We are friends no more.
Sticks48 replies on Mar 13, 2018:
@atheist It was bad judgment on his part. It is sad for he was one of the best friends I ever had. Trust is the foundation of any close relationship for me.

You want to be a big city, you are going to get big city problems. It is unfortunate but true.
Sticks48 replies on Mar 13, 2018:
@bonfirefromtx This goes back to my origanal statement about Austin. Big city, big city problems. A statement of fact not opinion. If you live in a small town you have to deal with small town problems, which can be a lot more personal than in the city. :)

Sticks48 replies on Mar 13, 2018:
@Crimson67 Isn't it kind of the same as when you insult people's religion? Why should they care as long as they feel strongly those beliefs. My beliefs don't affect them. That is the way it appears to me.
I wonder why so many people like/believe in Angels?

@bonfirefromtx What is the murder rate in Houston? In this country we only get excited about the unusual or the spectacular murders. The everyday run of the mill homicides pretty much go unnoticed. That is really sad.
