I don't know about Austin, but we run one in Wimberley that is very good. We have a very good four piece band made up of players, two who have only played music for a living all their life and two of us who have done the same for most of our adult life. You get three songs and you can have any or all members of the band back you, or do it solo. We don't showboat, and we try to make you sound as good as we possibly can. Having a band allows people who don't play to get up and sing.

I was driving in north Texas years ago, doing 65 on a dry highway, no snow, when I hit black ice and started sliding. There was an oncoming car in the other lane and one on the side of the road, so I tried to slide it toward the parked car. As I got near the parked car, he pulled out on the road and I stopped right where he had been sitting. I was very lucky. The road looked exactly the same where the black ice began. Black ice is some bad shit!
