They also had an economy that was so out of whack because of the Treaty of Versailles, a loaf of bread would cost you a wheelbarrow full of Deutsche marks. Two thirds of this country don't think he is charismatic at all. If it were about the popular vote, which it should be, he would lose by millions of votes. No one will care about Baghdadi in a month. It has been years since we have even heard his name. If lazy assed, stupid Americans get out and vote he will lose. Hell he lost by almost three million votes to Clinton. All of our allies are just biding their time hoping he doesn't do something too stupid. If you think the majority of Republicans in either the House , and especially in the Senate really like or support his foreign policies you would be mistaken. I don't care how much money they raise for an army, they can't buy jet fighters, tanks, aircraft carriers, and drones. They would maybe make it out of their front yards. @Allamanda Yep. Our problem in this country is urban vs rural, not Christianity vs secularism, and that is only going to get worse. This is what will change our country much more than a decline in Christianity. Even in national politics it won't change much because of the electoral college and the fact red states outnumber blue states by a bunch.

How often do they get it wrong? If you no without a doubt I have no real problem, but that is not how it works all too often. Since 1973 until 2014 the Innocence Project has helped 144 on death row get there convictions overturned. Those are just the ones DNA was still available. That is the reason to eliminate the death penalty.

@Plainjane You are welcome. It was really bad. We have all been sick and thrown up a little bile, but this just kept coming and coming and would not stop. It lasted all day and into the late evening. I hope she doesn't have to have it removed, and if she does I hope she can give up beef and pork without too much of a problem. I still eat fish, chicken, and turkey. Morning Star Farms make a veggie sausage patty and a veggie hamburger patty that are surprisingly good. They carry it at HEB in the frozen food section. I hope the piglet makes it. Too cute.

@itsmedammit They will still get big bucks and there will be doctors. When I was growing up there was no insurance. I had a hernia operation when I was five and my brother had his tonsils out about that time. My parents were lower middle class, but they managed to pay for it, and the doctors lived in big houses and drove big cars. No one said doctors have to be multi-millionaires. They have to do something. Our system is not sustainable.
