Some of the folks who conducted interviews for Rolling Stone in the 70's were the overly sincere, hippy-trippy types. One of those folks was interviewing Dylan and was asking the meaning of this one line in a song and putting their feelings about the line into the question in that overly sincere way, and Dylan answered he was just trying to find something to rhyme with the previous line. That is very often how it works.

@Marionville I agree. I really partially blame Parker for his death. Better management would have put him in better movies and protected him from himself. In the right hands there is no telling what he could have done. IMO

@Marionville He definitely had a great voice and charisma. I liked early Elvis. The bad movies and jumpsuits really turned me off. Every once in awhile a video of one of his 70's concerts comes on and I will watch. As with all of those entertainers who died too young, you wonder how their careers would have played out.

The first time I saw Delbert was in the mid seventies. If you like him, check him out on YT. Most of the live stuff isn't very good, but he has great stuff on albums. He developed a blues sound very different from most blues players. We did a show with him back in the 80's. He is one of my favorites for sure.

I can't imagine. We played in Mesa when it was 112 with twenty something percent humidity and it was horrible. I remember walking out of the bar around midnight to get some fresh air and the bank sign across the street said 101.

@JasonTomerlin2 That is way too hot. We have been in the 104/105 range for over a week, and they are expecting another week of this. With 40 or 50% humidity it is even worse. Keep cool.

@SeaGreenEyez Yes, the Wicca community was primarily in Manitou Springs when I lived there. I rented a room from this guy in Colo Springs for awhile, and when we played in Manitou he wouldn't come hear us because the witches freaked him out. :)

@DaCrusher I can see some places on the net policing hate speech if they feel it might incite violence, or they just don't want it on their site. That is their right. They are private businesses. The First Amendment guarantees the government won't arrest you for what you say. It does not guarantee there won't be consequences. Go tell your boss he is an idiot and his wife is ugly. It is your right to say that. It is his right to fire you.
