@mistymoon77 It is a lot of work. I lived like that in Taos NM a couple of times. We had inclosed wood burning stoves, so we didn't smell like smoke. It wasn't bad at all.

I had a small black cat that caught rats until we had no more rats. She ate them from the waste up, avoiding the bowel. it was like a precision cut. She caught a bat once. You couldn't have water in the bird baths. That was like setting the table for her. She would always bring the catch to the door to show us she was doing her job, l guess. She was the best cat l ever had.

I guess I'm going for Full Bake tonight.
