@TomMcGiverin I have had that happen a couple of times. I have only talked to four people on the phone from this site. All of the conversations were easy and went well. One of those people l still talk to on a regular basis. After awhile the msg. just gets uninteresting and they tend to fizzle out. I don't believe there is as much ghosting going on as there is conversations just running out of gas. IMO

It worked, so they were right. The vast majority of women were stay at home moms and housewives. That is the stuff they wanted. Modern appliances made their job much easier. Until the economic boom after the depression and WWll the average household couldn't afford those things and a lot of them didn't exist till the 50's.
