In civilizations, there will always be some who need a deity/god/whatever in their life.
I have leaned more here than I expected. Planet Earth and its nature, i.e., the natural world, is a closed system. Any action inconsistent with the natural world introduces entropic disorder which increases the difficulty of those struggling to survive. History suggests that we exist to evolve and that there will always be enough who survive to procreate then next generation. The question raised is how do parents prepare their child to survive and flourish in a world in which the entropic disorder is monotonically increasing?
I recognize that I perceive living life differently than others. I understand and readily accept that. While I was familiar with the concept of a God as as youth and teenager, I never felt a need for a "God" in my life. The notions of being an agnostic or an atheist is not something I ponder or ever had.
