Hello my name is Sylvester-Lavell , I move to Sacramento from Atlanta GA, several years ago but I am originally from East St. Louis, Illinois. I love riding my motorcycle, practicing and competing in karate, writing poetry, and listening to slow music. I have a B.S. in Psychology and Master in Criminology and Forensic and I was working on my PhD in Forensic Psychology and completed 2 out of the 3 years, but just dropped out. If man would be compared to boats and woman the sea, some men would be tugboats, cruise liner, speedboats, sailboat, war chips, pirate ship but I would be a submarine. I believe the star my atoms came from help construct b me to be a submarine only. All the other boats just skim the surface for various uses but I am no good unless I go deep. That is my purpose

I can stay on top but I would be missing my calling my most usefulness. I love going deep into a person the deepest part of their being were their soul meet their heart. My construction wants let me faultier or collapse under pressure.

What are you looking for in a partner?
I am full of hope & strength that transcends the daily grind and the difficult circumstances and challenge of life and looking for a woman who does the same. Because I am a strong African American man, I can face challenges with assurance and joy and like my woman to do the same. My convictions to overcoming all obstacles or fun challenges are expressed strongly but with a gentleness and respect so I need a gentle and respectful woman.
I face challenges as a man of tomorrow. I meet the uncertainties of this world with the certainty of the world to come. To the pure in heart, nothing is to challenging to overcome so I am looking for another pure at heart.

I'd just like to add...
I am a very gentle person and love gentleness in return.
Somehow gentleness has become a trait most men and woman are not interested in. Perhaps the idea of self-made man or woman seems incompatible with gentleness. If that be the case, the definition of gentleness needs revisiting. Among the synonyms for gentleness, the word broken is found: as in broken horse. In this sense, broken means strength under control.
The Horse Whisperer, a good book and movie, tells about a cowboy who tames wild horses with firmness, soft words, and patience. Initially, his horses are strong and powerful but out of control. When the cowboy is finished, his horses are still strong and powerful as well as beautiful, but they are also controllable and useful.
The mature & wise person understands that gentleness is not a sign of weakness. A gentle spirit is a sign of strength and power under control.
I believe since a person cannot do good to all mankind, you are to pay special regard to those who, by the accidents of time, or place, or circumstances, are brought into closer connection with you. And you do it with kindness and gentleness!
