Have you tried brushing kitty with a cat brush once a day? Main Coons have very long hair as you mentioned. My mom had a Norwegian Forest Cat (which is kind of similar). Brushed him once a day and had good results. He go so used to being brushed that he knew at a certian time in the evening.. he wanted to be brushed. Some domestic cats do like water. I want to say the Main Coon and Norwegian Forest cat are two that are more open to liking the water. No guarantees tho.

I hate practical jokes. One time I was working at a shop. I was under the hood, and this jackass decided it would be funny to honk the horn. Smacked my head on the hood. I had an 1 1/4" wrench in my hand. I wanted to smack him with it. Another time (same shop) it was slow, and the boss had me put up an antenna two stories up on the roof. They had me use a fork lift to get on the top. The guy that was running the fork lift though it'd be funny to back up a few feet when I was 2 stories in the air. Then slammed on the brakes. I almost fell off. One night after work we were all in the shop. He mentioned something about me being afraid of heights. I yelled at him for what he did. The boss was right there and almost punched him in the face. I know people that have fallen from that distance. One broke his hip. I could have easily gotten killed.

Sounds pretty sweet. I'd guess you got a SATA III. I built my first SSD box maybe close to 10 years ago. I bought 4 60 GB OCZ SATA II drives. SATA III probably was available at the time, but they were still spendy. I put those 4 drives in RAID 0 with Ubuntu. I want to say the read/write was around 250 MB/sec. I also had a AMD 6 core processor in that. From the time you hit reboot, to the time you loaded your browser it was about 10 seconds. A lot of your SATA III's will be 525 MB/sec or better. I did a performance test, and I want to say it would read 1100-1200 MB/Sec. I'm not fond of Win 10. Too much crapware/bloatware. I have an i7 with 8 GB RAM, and a SSD. It takes like 10 seconds to open a .JPEG. It is that slow. Sounds cool tho!

Good question. I have to say yes and no. They say that the most effective learning is when you are a toddler. If you live in a house that speaks more than one language, you pick up on it at a young age. You don't worry about how the syntax is by the book. You just know how you should speak a sentence. Lots of old timers around here still speak Czech. I only know a few phrases, but I can understand a lot. If you learn another language later in life, it is a lot harder. Spanish is my second. I am not fluent, but I can hold a conversation to someone that is a Spanish speaker, and doesn't know any English. It is harder to learn another language.
