He was told that they couldn't take tanks back because they couldn't get all the chemicals off. Another friend said there were about 200 tanks on base that never moved since he was there. Another said that his superior said he could take boxes of knives and signs back. He was scared he'd be caught at security checks. Never did get caught. Taking back government property has been going on for a long time! My dad got out in '71. He brought back many ammo cans. These are "disposable". He gave me a few.

I had to break into my own house once. I had an electronic door lock on one of my doors. I'd always have a key to it on my keychain. There is no low battery light. One time the batteries died, and it defaulted to open rather than lock. I was like, what's the point of having this extra key on my keychain. Next time the batteries went dead it defaulted to lock.
