I grew up in a mostly Christian family and attended the Seventh-day Adventist church starting at about the age of four. Attended an Adventist boarding school and then went on to be a theology major at an Adventist college. Studied my way out of the Seventh-day Adventist church about the time I left college. Was is involved in music ministry for many years, including four years on the road full-time with gospel music bands. Recorded a solo album and toured as a solo artist for several years. About six years ago I really started to question many of the teachings of scripture and realize to that I was parking my brain at the door every time I went to church. I started to study the Bible again as an outsider looking in and was apalled at what I found. I now consider myself a somewhat militant agnostic atheist.
