TomMcGiverin replies on Apr 1, 2020:
Probably replace Biden this summer after they have stopped Bernie and replace Biden with Warren or more likely one of the centrists who dropped out, like Mayor Pete or Klobuchar, who knows? Their whole aim is stopping Bernie, I don't think the DNC really cares that much who else is the nominee.

TomMcGiverin replies on Mar 26, 2020:
@SeaGreenEyez Our state is not testing nearly that many per day. The figures I gave are the state's capacity of how many they can test at any one time. They are only testing those who feel sick and ask for the test. Nobody is being tested that is without symptoms or is just a person who had contact with someone who was proven infected. So we have really no idea how many people in our state are infected but are without symptoms or are not sick yet.

@Lilac-Jade Stores need to realize that these kind of customers are worth losing, and even if they aren't where else are they gonna go? Our leaders would just ignore mass protests like they already do when it's against war. In America it would take a mass movement with tens of millions hitting the streets coupled with general strikes and mass non-cooperation with corporate America. Anything less would not be powerful enough and I don't see enough Americans up for that, esp. when most of them are too saddled with debt to take the risk or have the time to get involved.

@Athena I wished I lived in a warmer state. With my fitness center closed, I have to go exercise walk outside and 45 degrees is a little cold for my tastes.

I'm probably a bit out of touch with that, as I've been retired for a couple years and don't get out that much anyway. I've also noticed that the site itself is pretty slow this week, probably because people are pre-occupied even if they are home from work or school.

Lorajay comments on Mar 13, 2020:
I don't it will thank it will affect the 1% but smart people in the middle class may come to realize that without a universal health care system their own health is in danger from a pandemic.
TomMcGiverin replies on Mar 13, 2020:
The crucial group to affect is those in the top 10%, the comfortable controller/professional class. They tend to vote against the interests of the lower classes, but epidemics like this may get them to vote for single payer out of self interest so things like this don't end up hurting them. Unlike the 1%, they don't live in the same kind of bubble with their own planes and compounds.

There is still a lot of disinformation being floated about by republicans, be wary, he was a good VP backed Obama, was poorest senator in Congress, still way better than trump
TomMcGiverin replies on Mar 11, 2020:
@Charlene I voted for Obama in 2008, but as soon as I saw his cabinet appointments I knew we had been conned and that we were screwed as progressives for the next 8 years, because any attacks against him, from the left or the right (no matter how valid) were dismissed as racist. Man, how I hated Barry The Liar, which is why being stuck with Biden is doubly infuriating when I see how he rides Obama's coattails, which objectively are not that great to begin with. Nader agreed with me immediately after Obama's cabinet was announced and denounced Obama as a con man. Too bad most blacks were too drunk on racial pride to see the truth of that. By 2012, I was voting Green and also did that in 2016 after Bernie got screwed the first time. My state went for Trump by over 10%, so my conscience vote did not matter in the outcome.
The DNC has screwed the pooch again.

@Charlene Exactly! Why blacks voted for him, outside of Obama nostalgia and race loyalty over that, is beyond me. He has been no friend to blacks who are working class or poor.
