So just a normal guy, having a sociable drink with friends and family. For a guy in his 60's not much of a gut really, I would bet you have a couple of frosties at the end of the day like a normal person. Not gluten free, vegan, anti-smoking fascist or anything weird, just a normal guy with a hair...

OK Tom. Your turn to illuminate I Googled this and I am not satisfied. The poem I loved. My guess is somewhere in the Amazon or . But there are far too many Margaret Meads out there turning over rocks and looking behind trees....... And now they are sending rockets to Jupiter.

I often wonder if there are places like that still in West Virginia. I can't imagine man has trod over every square inch of this place, but I suppose I could be wrong. Nice sentiments.

I like some of the phrases, though I was a bit distracted by the random capitalization. I'm also not quite sure what you're getting at. A little more concrete description would have helped. It sounds good, though.

@Bierbasstard Sometimes I am, sometimes I'm not. So if you're saying everyone can (expletive deleted) if they don't understand your poems, why do you care if anyone reads them?

Tomfoolery33 replies on Aug 2, 2018:
@Bierbasstard Poetry can be concrete, and some people think it should be. Personally, I think poetry can be whatever we want it to be. What I meant was that the poem was dealing in abstracts almost exclusively, and that kind of removes it from the realm of the real. If that's what you like, that's not a problem. Just trying to comment on what I see.

And what's ironic, is we both met her the same night. My friend was dating her roommate, and Chuck and I had shown up at his house (with our guitars and a bottle of rum) and he said "Let's go over to my girlfriend's apartment. She's got a nice looking roommate! So we went there and drank and played music, and I moved on the roommate before Chuck could. We were married for 35 years and had two great kids.
