Well flooding is a normal thing if heavy rains fall after bush-fires ( wild fires) go through the country-side unfortunately.. And we don't get bush-fires as such due to our region being semi-arid with trees mostly growing around rivers, creeks, reservoirs and dams, etc, the rest in mostly low spread out shrubby trees and bushes with either spinifex grasses or salt bush/blue bush between them.

Well that just stuffed up my nice and quiet afternoon.

Your mention that episode of Father Ted reminded me of when the film of the Musical "Jesus Christ Superstar" came to my home town. Family friends owned and operated the local Cinema and I was asked if I'd mind helping out as an Usher on the night of its premiere here. I agreed, which meant I got to see the film for free as well, and an hour before the doors opened we found the cinema had every Nun and Catholic Priest from around the region trying ton boycott the Cinema, all of them carrying signs saying things like " Blasphemy" and "Sacrilege" and 2 of the Priests flicking holy water at the cinema and chanting some of their crazy mumbo-jumbo as they did it. Covid may well not end the Human Race but it certainly has put quite a hole in the population thus far and its delta variant is getting its grip on human kind as well as. You need to remember that during the Black Death Plagues the human population was less than it is now, they were far more spread out and more isolated than we are now, there WAS NO International travel that ONLY took a few or 24-36 hours to complete, then it took months to go from Europe to Asia by sea for example, plenty of time for the Plague to wipe out everyone on board a ship and leave it be wrecked after drifting uncontrolled across the waters. A prime example of HOW a viral infection has spread in the last 100 years is the Spanish Flu. Thanks to faster sea travel, the Spanish Flu, after infecting many returning troops from WWI, hitched a ride on ships transporting those troops home, they had no idea if they were infected or not, they just disembarked, were de-mobbed, went about their lives and journeys and voila, the virus was passed on and until, if memory serves correct, approx. 9 MILLION, yes that IS the numeral NINE followed by six ( 6)ZEROS btw, PEOPLE had become infected and died from it. But I suppose that that kind of history may not have been in the curriculum at what ever school you attended to become a qualified Engineer. However it was required learning and a subject for studying when I went through my training as a nurse back in the early 1970's, as was ever so much more as well.

But, would you not agree that in these anti-vaxxers doing what they do they ARE, technically and possibly putting the lives of others in jeopardy just as does a parent who fails to keep his/her firearms secured away from children also place both the children, themselves and or others at risk of either harm or death? Actually, I rang an old friend and long retired Solicitor about this very idea just after I posted it, he rang me back and said that such a Universal Law Suit, aka Universal Class Action, would have at least a 89-97% chance of success and may even result in it being referred afterwards to the Hague as well.

Well he has lived next door for 10years now, in that time I 've counted 11 girlfriends with relationship lasting from the shortest being 3 days and 2 nights before she left in whirlwind of frustration, etc, and the longest being the one that has just gone somewhat sour. Oh, and that's not counting the number of (quote) "ladies interested in me from Ghana, Kenya, Surinam, Laos, Thailand all who want me to send them money for their plane fares so they can be with me," (unquote). Actual Graphene Oxide is a lubricant that is coated on to ammunition cartridges such as pistol and rifle bullets, Artillery ammunition and added to the lubricating oil used after cleaning firearms. On the bullet ( projectile) it lubricates it so it can slide through the barrel easier, on the firing mechanism it helps the bolt and firing pin slide easier and is also coated on to some shot pellets used in shotguns as well. And CAN cause brain damage IF taken orally by intent or by accident and it builds up in the body and can kill slowly as well IF hands are NOT washed after loading firearms or re-loading ammunition, etc.

@linxminx Okay, as BOTH a Victim and a Crisis Counsellor I can explain that, a) Yes, descriptions of an event or events do change slightly from time to time BUT the minute and most important DETAILS rarely ever change. b) as a Counsellor and a Qualified Psychologist, like most others in the field, I have developed a sense that, more often than not, allows me to suss out when someone is "putting it on" or telling the truth. It is visible, patently visible in their eyes, the expressions on their face, whether or not they are willing to look YOU in face as they relate their story and most of all in their breathing, those what we call the "tells," next comes, over years in the field, the inner sense of Truth or Pretence which many of us choose to refer to as our inner shit alarm system, i.e. a little warning goes off inside our heads when it senses the presence of bullshit. I've been in the field of both Psychology and Crisis Counselling for 20+ years and without boasting I'd say that my personal Bullshit Alarm system is tuned very very well.
