It was calculated, after a 6 and a half Operation, that I had LOST approx. 50% of my body's Blood Volume between the Shooting site and the Hospital, another 1.5 litres during the operations to re-join my intestines RATHER than needing to spend the REST of my life wearing a Colostomy Bag ( DEFINITELY NOT a FUN thing to have and wear btw). I can STILL recall and remember quite vividly the burning, painful sensations as the home-made bullets TORE through my body. THAT, my friend, is EXACTLY what almost EVERY shooting victim feels IF they are NOT killed instantly btw.

Something I have done for my daughter when she was a baby and was also a part of the job when I was a nurse as well. Even simpler when using Commercial Herbicides is to add between 5 and 10 mls of cheap Dishwashing Detergent to the mix of water and Herbicide BEFORE spraying it on the weeds. Especially when dealing with Couch Grasses, 'woody' weeds and Australian native pest plants, since the detergent acts to remove the surface wax coating on the leaves and stems, thus allowing faster penetration of the Herbicide.

My invented and home-made Herbicide is designed to attack both above and the below the ground thus killing the weeds by destroying the leaves, stems, seeds/seed pods and the root systems at the same time. The BIG Plus is that it does NOT leave a trace of it in the soil after usage nor does it harm birds or animals. It consists, mainly, of things found in most households, is water soluble and easily absorbed by the weeds themselves. I've had it analysed and Certified by several, different Independent Chemistry Laboratories that have declared it 100% safe to use and I now hold the Patent for it. Also, I've tried to get a number of Herbicide Companies interested in it but with No results unfortunately. Even though the weeds show severe distress and start dying off after ONLY approx. 36-40 hours post-spraying.

@dermot235 Perhaps you did, perhaps you didn't, It depends on how you look at from the perspective of 20-22 year old male though. 8 hour shifts, all you want to do is get back to your room, settle down after a shower and take a well deserved rest up for a spell, but OTHERS have a whole of other things and plans on their minds. At hospitals back then in 70's when you were on the Emergency O.R. Roster you WERE on Call 24/7 and MUST be housed within walking distance of the Hospital. Plus many single Nurses opted to stay in the Nurses Accommodation Blocks for both convenient access to work and the cheaper rentals, etc. At one Hospital I worked in, there were 280 Nurses in the Accommodation Block, 3 were Males and the rest were Females.

FFS, $25,000 for a pair of SNEAKERS. Imo, the Beckham's NEED their heads read, BADLY. Bloody Hell, When I need new sneakers I look for the most comfortable, MOST affordable and CHEAPEST that I can afford at the time. Shit, I was having second, third and even fourth thoughts about spending $50 on a pair of light weight, sneaker style Work boots with steel toe-caps and raised side to give more support to my ankles which, my right ankle has been weakened kind of badly by Arthritis from an injury many, many years ago. @Marionville It didn't take me all that long to discover a thing called Short-wave Radio Listening where I could tune into Radio Stations from all over the world. That then got me in to designing and building Radio Antennas PLUS a hobby of seeking out more Valve Radios, learning how to repair them, etc, and then sell them on to collectors. I became, in the words of my Dad, " Quite the Wheeler -Dealer" when it came to 'trading/dealing' with the Owners of the local Auction Rooms/Second-hand Dealers. A bit of the "gift of the gab" with a few 'technical terms' thrown in for 'good measure' and I could knock their asking prices down to my affordable level. Quite a few times I walked out with a complete, working radio as a 100% freebie.
