TristanNuvo comments on Aug 11, 2018:

On dating sites, everyone says they like long walks on the beach.
TristanNuvo comments on Aug 11, 2018:
I actually live on the beach, but it's rare that I'll take a long walk on it. Mostly I like to just sit there and absorb the nature. The sound of the waves, The sounds of seagulls, just looking out at the horizon, things like that. The best though is that I live on the west coast, so we get some amazing sunsets.
Do you find that the more you learn about music, the more picky and closed minded you get about it?

I always get something from other players. I love to learn something new. I've always been open minded, but over the years it's grown stronger.

Has anyone ever noticed that most atheist and agnostics know more about the Bible than most ...
TristanNuvo comments on Aug 9, 2018:
I was lucky, I wasn't brought up in a religious household, so essentially I've been an Atheist all of my life. I never thought much about it until around around 2000, when the internet was on the rise, especially Youtube. I watched a lot of debates about religion, Science, and creationism. So I figured,I woul;dn't get involved in any debates until I read the bible all the way through. The whole time I was thinking, are you serious, people actually believe this crap.

Why do people post pictures of their motorcycles on dating sites.
TristanNuvo comments on Aug 8, 2018:
I used to have a bike, zx1200 Ninja. but it was a racing bike, nothing that thing that a 'biker' would call a bike. they mostly go for the Harley thing. to me it's just apples and oranges. But I've never posted any pics of that, unless they ask. But I do get what you are saying. I've noticed it too. I don't understand it but yes, harley riders love to show pics of their bikes.as if that is all the information any one needs to know about them. my sister does the same. She posts pics of her and her roadster all the time. this is just a pic I pulled off the inyterwebs. but it is the last bike I owned, only mine was green. I broke a lot of speed violations on thay bike. lol.
Where do your facts come from? How do you discuss politics if you can't trust sources?
TristanNuvo comments on Aug 8, 2018:
I actually try to avoid political conversations, or discussions. But I can answer your question in something else. Before I'll make a point, or retort about something in History, Science, Cosmology etc. I will look up many different sources, preferably papers from Published peers of a certian topic. That's how I was taught in school how to do. I think it's the most effective way in my opinion.
Carl Sagan’s Cosmos
TristanNuvo comments on Aug 8, 2018:
I remember it well. It had a huge impact in my life. It gave me a much better understanding, and the fascination of Science. I also really enjoyed the remake with Dr. Neil DeGrasse Tyson.
I'm admitting I dont have a high IQ but i would like to learn from those who do.
TristanNuvo comments on Aug 8, 2018:
Although I can hold hold my own, I do favor being around people that are smarter than me. I love nothing more than to learn something new.
Have you seen anyone list their IQ in their single's profile?
TristanNuvo comments on Aug 8, 2018:
I'm not going to give a number, but i was tested a few times with an above average IQ. Please do not get me wrong on this, I'm not trying to show off or any thing. In fact quite the opposite. Myself and a few I've met deal with the same few things. First off, I am fairly unstable. Where some things that I can do or think of comes to me quite easily, yet some of the simplest tasks that come easy to most people I struggle with often. For instance, I can't figure out what goes together clothes wise. So I have the same outfit many times over, the same pants, the same shirts Etc. I usually have bad insomnia because My brain sometimes won't shut up. Sometimes It's some mathematical equations, some times it's A piece of music that I've been writing. So I'll get up and start working on some math, or grab my guitar to try to get it out of my head, but that only makes it worse. The ironic thing is that I was not a great student at my regular school. I got bad grades often, so i was put into an advanced learning facility. (I think that's what they called it). That was a great fit for me for many reasons. One is that regular schools have you read something out of a text book, and you have to memorize it and then take a test on it. The problem I have with that is that for the most part, especially History, was that you were tested on names, and dates. You are never going to use that information in any real life. What we did at our school was talk about the events that led up to and during an event, given a topic, and let us do our research on it by ourselves, and submit a paper on our findings Honestly I think all schools should teach that way. essentially we were taught how to think, rather than just memorization. Although I am generally a nice person. I like to say 'Hi' and wave to people i meet on the street on one of my walks. But IRL I'm very socially awkward. It takes me a long while of getting to know some one before i can have any kind of conversation with them. Although when I do get to know some one, I'm an open book. That is one of the reasons i love places like blog sites. I'm not actually meeting anyone face to face, so it is a little easier to open up and be myself. I had more, but I didn't really want to make a long comment.

I didn't realize writing original music was so hard lol.
TristanNuvo comments on Aug 8, 2018:
I'm the opposite way. Writing music came very natural to me. Well with a lot of practice when I was younger. But i couldn't put words down to save my life. That's how it used to work in a few bands I've been in. I would write some music. And the rest of the guys wrote the lyrics. But as in anything Practice is everything. Hell even though I can do it well, I still every now and then write some crap music. But I keep at it.

What are your favorite instruments in your collection?
TristanNuvo comments on Aug 4, 2018:
I love Takamine guitars. I used to have a Classical guitar of theirs, and the sound and playability was great. But I eventually sold it to get an Manuel Rodriguez Model FF. It was very expensive and I had to work really hard to save up the doh for it, but it was worth it. That guitar has the best natural sound I've ever heard. Through out the many decades I've owned a whole crap load of different electrics. But one time at the music store i was going to see if I could find a good strat because they were some how just a great fit for me. One of the guys that worked there asked if I'd ever played an Ibanez before. I told him that I didn't because they were a Jazz guitar maker. This was back in around 1982. he told me that they started making electric models for rock, or metal. So he got me to try one out.If I remember correctly, it was an RG series that I got to play. In a matter of minutes I was in all wonder of just how versitial, and great to play. I bought it on the spot. I've never owned anything other Ibanaze electric guitars since then. My bass 5 string is an Ibanez as well.
To the ladies. How do i tell if a woman is actually interested in me vs. just being nice?

Has a song ever changed your mind? What was the song? How did it affect you?
TristanNuvo comments on Aug 3, 2018:
Well, it wouldn't really be called changing my mind. But for a decade'ish I was playing guitar in a bunch of metal bands. And one day an old friend of mine that I had not seen in a while came by and had a Spanish guitar with him and he played some for me, and turned me on to some other artists that played the same. It' was just so festive. That changed my life. I was so hooked that I went out and bought a Spanish guitar. Been writing and recording that kind of music ever since. We get together with a few others we know that play as well, and have a great time playing together.
Tho I have my doubts about some of you!
