In my cosmic view, we live on a spaceship called Earth which at our human level is our total world, but in the overall scheme of things is just a tiny spec in the infinite vastness of the Universe. A vastness that defies our understanding of it.

Politically, I consider myself an orphan on the account of being a socially liberal, fiscally conservative and a foreign policy hawk person. That being the case, neither party appeals to me, and I always end up voting for the lesser evil. Libertarian would come closest to my philosophy. Having lived on four continents decidedly shaped my worldview, and my global sensibilities. I am fluent in 3 languages. Being a minimalist in the aesthetic realm, my favourite aphorism in life is "less is more" as expressed by the great architect Mies van der Rohe.
Fun things: I enjoy music (with the exception of rap/hiphop), particularly blues, jazz and reggae. Dining, dancing, cruising, taking road trips and hanging out at the beach are just a few of my ideas of having fun. I have a dry sense of humor, and cheesy, corny jokes don't really trigger a laugh with me. Leaving port for a cruise with the pulsating beat of reggae on deck, and hugging and swaying to it with my woman while waving to the poor souls stuck on shore, is definitely a pleasurable experience. So is spending idle moments on a rainy Sunday afternoon with her at home (mine or hers) with bluesy jazz playing in the background. Listening to jazz, blues, reggae, world music, 80's music. Weekend road trips, beach, wineries, dancing. My motto for living: Eat, Drink, Laugh, Dance, Love.
I love the sounds of raindrops hitting my roof, of foghorns, the gurgling of a creek, the clickety-clack and horn of a moving train, the quacking of ducks in a pond. All these sensations are intensified in the dark of the night. I'm seeking a romantic relationship with a lady having an easy-going, open-minded, freethinking and well-travelled mindset. My hope is to appeal to one who is active, warmhearted, shapely, well groomed and feminine up to age 74 with a high standard for hygiene, having class, good taste and a joie de vivre. Someone who loves to laugh and has a wicked sense of humor.
To sum it up, I am looking for a monogamous relationship based on intimacy, honesty and trust. I am not into games, please be honest about your age.
A casual meeting over coffee or a couple of drinks would be ideal to figure out if we have that elusive and rare phenomenon called chemistry. Such a meeting of a relatively short duration is convenient in the event of zero chemistry offering either party an escape path, on the other hand it can last longer or even metamorphose into something else in case of a violent chemical reaction.
