My needs are simple: plenty of time in the wilderness, great books, stimulating conversation, and a good wheat beer. The best moment of my life so far was lying on the ground in the Blue Ridge Mountains watching two spiders flex at each other, for about half an hour. I enjoy talking politics (want to start a revolution?). I'm a Social Worker, but exploring other options that will allow for mobile living. I'm often told that I'm hilarious and unfiltered- if they only knew what I hold back! I'm a strong advocate for the environment; growing plants for pollinators, refusing single use plastic, composting and doing volunteer activities like trail maintenance and invasive species removal. I'm a low key birder; I like to watch them, but I'm not chasing them down
I spend as much time on hiking trails as I’m able to, and occasionally clean up for a night at the ballet or at a bar listening to a local folk band. I’m planning a year sabbatical to travel and enjoy the outdoors; I’m just hashing out the details of my mobile dream house. I'm very independent and enjoy solitude, but I'd like to have a partner for my adventures. He'd have to appreciate a woman who swears like a truck driver, but never speaks unkindly. He needs to know how to hang a bear bag and tend a fire. Spooning is mandatory, but only until I fall asleep, unless I'm cold. Smoking and drug use are deal breakers. I feel foolish writing this, so please just pretend this is all really good information.
