The fence was a three strand electric fence. You can see the insulators. Such fences don't last long when not in use. I know because I had to run around a five acre bit of swamp my Dad kept fenced in to keep our forty or so goats where we wanted them to eat the underbrush. Every high wind meant a branch would fall down on it breaking the wire and someone had to find it or we would have had goats in the road. Be careful to not accidentally pee on the wire when it's energized.

There has always been men attempting to control society and part of that control is to project their manipulative activities on others by accusing the people that we look to for how society should work of doing what they actually do so we lose faith in our system. They accuse Judges, Legislators, and the Education system of the malfeasance they commit themselves. When such people aren't in control they at all levels do what Hannibal Lecter said in the movie Hannibal, ***"People don't always tell you what they are thinking. They just see to it that you don't advance in life.***" Which is the most frightening line in the entire franchise and adequately describes the true nature of systemic ethnic and cultural racism, homophobia, transphobia, misogynism. Despite its magnitude it's silent, so people say "what systemic racism?" because they refuse to hear it, but if you're working hard to progress and you know you're competent and you see other people less competent progressing while you're being left behind that silence is a roar. These same people would rather see the world burn then see the "wrong" people progress. I've known people denied promotion for being Catholic in an predominantly protestant work place. It didn't matter they were of the same race. The name of the game is conformity even if the way they want you to conform is absurdly impossible. They love to take advantage of our aversion to conflict, it's our main trait in their minds, hence the jeers of "Snowflake" and all their second amendment talk. They're bullies so they think they can just intimidate everyone into conforming or silence. If everyone stands up to them they will wither and retreat like a dick in a freezing cold shower. They are the weakest and most insecure in society, cowards that require constant reinforcement from those they consider brave and inspirational, like Trump and the shit talkers on Fox News. They absolutely must fail, there can be no compromise on this point or we'll all end up in extermination camps.

All the vets I served with that died during the cold war did so for non-combat related activities or circumstances. Like overdoses and being murdered while getting robbed some suicides and others murdered by friends or relatives for insurance or convenience. I see some at the VA, I'm 61 and missed Vietnam by three years. Yet I see Vets obviously younger then I am wearing Vietnam War Vet T shirts. Most of the homeless vets are of the cold war variety, perhaps it's why they pretend to be from other wars.
