WonderWartHog99 replies on Feb 15, 2020:
@AnonySchmoose **All** governments deal with illegal immigrants differently. Doesn't make them fascist dictators. Dictators don't worry about re-elections or need political campaigns. Trump may speak of shooting people on 5th Avenue, NYC but he doesn't actually do it. Non-residents from other countries are fair game for all governments. Fascism, as you pointed out, includes the government being in charge of the economy. Under fascism, there is no stock market. Under fascism, there is only the **official** government media. No independent newscaster, non-government media, etc. It all supports my theory the word "fascism" is used independent of its meaning. It's common to see it used instead of saying "I don't like it." I've seen Martin L. King called a "communist" because people didn't like him. It had nothing to do with communism. It's a case of whatever form of government is out of fashion. Nothing to do with reality. I'm such a mean old man I prefer people who know what they're talking about.

WonderWartHog99 replies on Feb 15, 2020:
@Petter There are stronger acids than vinegar will do more damage than a jelly fish will. Jelly fish barbs are one reason that there isn't that good of a "cure." It's amazing we've been to both the Bahamas and the Indian Ocean and still lived to tell the tales.

Folklore says pee on the stings. Folklore is terribly wrong. Peeing on it will make worse as will pouring beer on it. Overall, you're better pouring a bottle of undiluted vinegar on it. @Emerald To quote Percy "Cats rule; dogs drool." When I'd walk Petunia's dogs (she gave up on being a dog owner), her dogs would want to bite people while on a leash. Dogs require the owners to walk them a couple of times a day, which **may** help their owners to meet new people in the neighborhood. The cat/dog split in personality is primarily that a dogs are very enthusiastic to demand their owners love them. They'll jump on the owner, lick the owner's face, blab, blab. Cats wander towards their owners to let them know they will accept love **now.** The most enthusiastic cat love is nose kisses when it decides on it. For me the major deal is Percy keeps our home mouse free. He's killed a couple of mice that we know of. Petunia goes into super panic mode over mice. It doesn't hurt that cats require less upkeep than dogs. I have seen videos on how to walk your cat but it looks more like the owner is dragging the cat behind him.

I've been on that slow boat (4 knots). It took two weeks to get from Diego Garcia in the Indian Ocean to San Diego. That's a longer trip than going to China. Once the boat arrives, there are postal clerks who are even slower. It will take six to eight weeks wait to complete the delivery. How did the virus get here so quick? It took the plane.

The high holy grail of psychiatric illnesses is the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders, better known as the DSM-5. The Lasègue-Falret syndrome (with about six other names for the same thing, all in French) is **not** listed as an illness. For it to be listed as an illness, you'd need the DSM-4. They've revised the mighty tome which started out as a pamphlet. @Robecology >So do you not see the contradiction, there? No. You equate abortion with contraceptives. Easy to get contraceptives; difficult (and becoming more so) to get abortions. Those who are poor/minority groups have **no problem** getting contraception. In this country **everyone** can get contraceptives. One may seek an abortion after they forget to use contraceptives. Nobody wants to use abortion instead of contraceptives. The two are vaguely related.

Abortion and contraception are only vaguely related topics. The toughest woman in the world doesn't say "Hell, I want use abortion instead of contraception. >And consider this; if birth control devices and advice were freely distributed - the number of abortions would drop drastically. Condoms are "freely distributed." I've been to student health care and gotten mine for free. Sometime I've gotten a dozen free packages at a pop while getting treated for pink eye. At the same school they put free condom dispensers in the rest room. If you attend high school, you can get them for free as well. When I was a mere horny lad of 16 a clerk saw me studying shelves of contraceptives, when she asked me what was I doing. I said I was pondering my next purchase. She brought over a druggist who gave me the 15 minute lecture on the pluses and minuses of each product. In **this** country getting birth control and advice is not a problem.

WonderWartHog99 replies on Jan 29, 2020:
@MrChange > In the big scheme of things spelling and grammar is not really important. The "big picture" is poor grammar and spelling makes the writer sound uneducated, careless and sloppy. One can use computer tools to improve one's writing. When they don't care to pay attention to spell checkers and other writing tools, it makes one come across as a boorish lout. The point of writing clearly by current standards is to be understood rather than guess what the author meant.

Got a few evil ideas how to do it." Mark Twain noted that God condemned the snake to crawl on its belly afterwards. He asked prior to that, was the snake getting around by hopping on the end of its tail?🤣🤣
