To me, Salmon is best as lox. I have tried salmon jerky and dried salmon it must be an acquired taste dried because to me it tasted a lot like iodine smells.

Had to look up kingfish I have had that is very strong flavor. Had caught flounder in the Huntington Beach harbor off the porch of a friend very tasty. The soft shell crabs remind me of trips to Myrtle Beach.

I used to live in the greater Seattle area, this landlocked small town girl learned what REAL salmon was while I was there. I fell in love. If I am dining out and fresh pacific salmon is on the menu I know what I am having, especially if it comes with asparagus.

I used these a lot when I was in my 20 `s made my hands very strong. When I was in Guam we would often find fallen coconuts with the husk still on. If you find some that the husk was looser if you pull it just right you can open it easier. Some of the guys swore I had a secret power because I could rip the husk right off the coconuts.

I'll probably get some blowback on this, but haven't we become a mostly non-cooking society anyway. My MD daughter says she rarely cooks, but rather, mostly heats things. We have become a convenience/ efficiency society of non-cookers.

@Rose2U My son has a speech delay and for a long time, Alexa would say to him I don't know that. Somehow she adjusted and she hears him more clearly than me or my daughter we end up repeating our selves.
